Babycows Dreams Tulum Review (finally!)
can't wait! replied to babycow's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Relieved it wasn't so much the resort's fault! Standing by for more pics!! -

It can be by the beach having the ultimate package or dreams of love package. Can we have our cocktail at the Lobby terrace? Yes you can have there your cocktail. Is it possible to have a reception at the Lobby terrace with music? Yes it is possible. Who will perform the symbolic ceremony? Certified minister. Can we write up the whole ceremony script and give you a copy so whoever performs the ceremony will say exactly what is written? Of course we will ask this to the minister if you want to. So as you can see she didn't really list any other places for outdoor reception with music.... but like many have said before they are not that good at giving detailed answers, so maybe in a lil while I will e-mail her again and will specifically ask about having reception by the pool with music. When I was there for my site visit, I saw a reception of about 30 + at the adult pool. They set up a long, rectangular table and had a DJ to the side. It actually looked really nice. So, if that's where you want it, tell them. They should be able to comply.

Solo guitarist/violinist or trio for RM
can't wait! replied to Simistar's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
I'm paying $350 for a violonist. It's through our resort. I believe our resort charges $450 for a guitarist. -
Riu Palace Riviera Maya Review...tons of pics!
can't wait! replied to luvdezi's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Wow, I can't believe those pics are from the resort photographer! That person did such an amazing job! And I absolutely LOVE your dress and necklace. I love that you broke out of the traditional. The necklace went very well with your dress. Congrats!!! -
First-Aid Kit Template
can't wait! replied to can't wait!'s topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Thanks guys! I knew I could count on you! Now off to the printers!! -
I made a boo-boo! I erased the first aid kit template I saved for those 99cent johnson and johnson band aid kits. Does anyone remember them? They were personalized and had a band-aid design. I think Morgan may have done one but when I searched her blog, I couldn't find one. I also did a search but had no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

His name and email is in my review) and he is the one who told me about the special price, and he is the one that got me the honeymoon suite when we arrived. Okay great. I knew you had talked to someone about upgrades but wasn't sure who. I will email Raul now. Thanks.

Sunbride, in your review you talked about upgrades. I am trying to see if we can get a special group rate from the resort and have emailed Daniel. Is that who you dealt with when it came to your guests rooms? Also, how long did he take to respond? I have a feeling he's just like the wedding planners because it's been days and I have yet to hear from him. This gets old.

Alyssa's planning thread...
can't wait! replied to Alyssa's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Alyssa, this all looks AMAZING! You should feel proud of yourself for all the DIY projects. My favorite were the programs with the bamboo handles...so original! Congratulations! After seeing all these details I have no doubt your wedding will be gorgeous! -
I guess I'm the bride with all the slackers! My wedding is in November and most of my guests just booked over the weekend. I found even if you send email reminders, encouragements, and low budget offers, most people will book when they want to. At least that was the case for my wedding. I have 43 booked and am still expecting another 15.

Found a TTD Dress :)
can't wait! replied to KatyKo's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
That has to be the ALL-TIME best find!! Congrats! -
I got a sample dress for A LOT LESS! A lot! Soooo, ask if she would be willing to give you more of a discount. She knows you're interested, that's why she only offered 120 bucks off. I think if it's "the dress" then try haggling down. If she doesn't go down in price, see if another bridal store carries it, order it there, and then ask for a full refund from the first place. They should give you the $$$ back since they weren't able to provide the right dress for you.

I don't think they would have a difficult time incorporating it at all! Just take the picture with you. It's really nice, I may have to copy it from you!

I would suggest Costco in Playa del Carmen. It's about 30 min away but it's worth the drive b/c you'll be able to find everything there. I'm planning on just stopping there on my way in so I won't have to drive back. There is also Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. Oh, and in regards to your question about private events if there is full capacity at resort...there is always the ballroom and receptions on the beach.

Hope that makes sense... i have the original document in illustrator if anyone wants it, let me know. as you can see in the pictures... the front of the invite is the actual invitation, the inside is a letter to our friends and family which included our travel agent's info. our website info etc. the back of the invite is a map of the riviera maya where we highlighted where the azul sensatori will be. Sorry, I am technologically disadvantaged. So your invites were folded first then rolled up? And did you use a regular printer at home? Yes, if you could PM the original document I would really appreciate it. I'm an IDIOT when it comes to computers and could use all the help I could get. thanks sooooo much!!

Hi ladies! I was looking at Amy and Andy's wedding video (which was amazing!) and decided to google Dreams Tulum on youtube. Well...found a wedding video! woo!hoo! Don't think the bride is on this forum but I figured we would all appreciate seeing another fellow DT bride tie the knot. Here's the link. YouTube - lisa and grant

Couple of questions, though: what size of kraft paper did you buy? do you have templates? how many pages did you include in the MIB? if there are multiples...how did you incorporate them together? thanks!!

I am excited to be joining this group and I only wish I would have found you all when I first started the wedding plans! I would say my biggest stresser right now is finding a DJ. The one provided my the resort does not MC, only plays music. Not sure where to look or how to start looking for one. Hi there! I'm getting married at DT a month after you! I have already booked DJ Mannia and they are great at communicating with you and are inexpensive. If you do a search on this forum you should be able to find their website.

I was considering having cupcakes delivered too but instead chose to have a candy buffett. Another bride on this forum had cupcakes delivered to a another resort, very near DT, and she said it was great. The vendor name is turtle bay cafe and if you do a google search you should be able to find them.
