I would just say that you've chosen to not have any girls stand up on your side.. people are strange and who knows how she'll react, but do you really care? lol sounds like you don't care for her much anyhow.. she can't really get mad if you don't have anyone up there.

Do you have other bridesmaids? If you do, then you can say, you and your FI have already selected your parties.. if not, that's your excuse.

Agreed. We've asked guests to not bring gifts to Mexico, but I'm sure we'll be getting cards/cash.. we're planning on using our luggage lock on our suitcases when we aren't in the room for our camera/other valuables. I may even give some to our MOH/BM (married couple) to hold... I'm super paranoid about security issues.

Where did you get your cake topper and what size did you order? Everything is very pretty..

I finished my door hangers over the weekend.. actually I finished them tonight. I spelled out "No Moleste" on all of them.. so cute, then duh realized it should be "No Molestar".. they aren't perfect but I removed the "e" and squeezed in the "ar".. oh, well, people aren't going to care. I'll be lucky if they hang them on their doors. lol I plan on putting in their OOT bags. The hangers were purchased from Oriental Trading Co, same with the "mexican inspired" foam stickers.. the letters were bought in a container from Michaels for $4.99. Everything had sticky back so it was really easy. For the letters that didn't stick very well, I used my tape gun. Before: After: I made a special one for our door with our last name on top.

I just made these tags for my welcome bags. I bought two different size hole punches (2.5" + 2") and punched cut scrapbook paper for the background, then printed our logo on white cardstock and glued to circle. I then cut another smaller white circle and will write the guests name on the back (rather than printing and having last minute changes, etc.) One more thing off my list!

I was a consultant when I was younger.. I don't use anything now, but I loved the satin hands line. I do still have the extra emollient cream. (it's probably 12 years old, ew!) lol You basically have a buffing cream to get all the dead skin cells off, then slather your hands with the vaseline stuff and put on gloves or socks... you hands do feel really nice afterwards. You can buy in a set and give as gifts.

I've read on here to use one of those really soft baby sheets.. Natasha (I believe) had her alterations person pack it in her carry-on suitcase and it came out beautifully.. I'm planning on carrying it on and hoping they let me put it in the closet. I've seen pictures of dresses on a bust form, but not sure where those came from but that probably doesn't have much to do with the travels of the dress. Unless you stuff with tissue paper, but I don't know.

I have no problem talking to the girls about this, but all the plans for my shower are a surprise (other than the date) so I have no idea if there's a theme, where we'll be going/doing, etc... I brought up how I found really cute invites that I wanted to buy and they said I shouldn't be buying anything.. they never brought it up again so now I don't know.. just wondering how the other girls were involved with their showers.

I really want to give shower gel with a puff thingy with a "From my shower to yours-Love Angela" tag (or something like that), but I'm not really involved with my shower or bachelorette party planning.. my three bridesmaids are coordinating everything. Who buys favors and all that stuff? I want to buy them because I found cheap puffs at Target and the showergel at Ross, but don't want my girls to get mad.. just not sure how these things work..

I paid $28.44 for 3 of them.. and mine were sent to the US so I don't think you got ripped off at all.

FYI: I just bid on and won 2 starfish necklaces from the same ebay vendor.. I didn't win one of my bids, someone bid $1.04! lol anyhow, they sent me a "second chance" email right after I lost the bid.. I bought it for $.99 cents (plus shipping) soooo don't bid more than $.99 and chances are you'll get an email to buy at that price.
