  1. I say do it! Of course it will be time consuming and may be a PITA for your guests but if you were going to do a church and then the hotel then it shouldn't make a difference. And you really, really want a beachside ceremony so do what is going to make you happy. In the long run the people who care the most about you will want to see you happy. -Glenda
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!!!! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT B-DAY AND MANY MORE!!! xoxo, Glenda

    Hi

Welcome! How exciting! Your friend is very lucky to have a friend like you who is willing to help her out with research. Defenitly get your friend to join, the girls on the board are all really nice and really helpful. Let us know how we can help you. -Glenda
  4. Rebecca do you have a link to the suntan lotion save the date? I love this one! It looks so much easier than the one I wanted to do. Save-the-Date Ribbon I would have to buy the cards, get them printed, and then make the numbers myself to attach them! I have a feeling this will get very time consuming and cost me a lot of money!! -Glenda
  5. YAY Jackie! You defenitly are a great friend!! -Glenda
  6. Actually I think they only get married by themselves. -Glenda
  7. Honestly mariachis pretty much all sound the same. The only difference is maybe how nice their outfits are. No one will notice the difference. I would go with the cheaper one. But make sure they are reliable. I think Maria Elena said it was a pain to get them there but that they were good no? -Glenda
  8. So true Anny! I heard that there is this couple who travels around the world and gets married everywhere. And they have books and write about their experiences. What a cool life. Maybe I was a hippie in another life... -Glenda
  9. Ok I have to comment about TACA b/c my grandmother has flown a million times on this airline. They are known for losing luggage. So I would absolutely carry your dress if I were you. And I don't mean to cost you anxiety but a lot of people have problems with them with regards to their luggage. I don't want to stress you out but I thought I would warn you. Oddly enough an acquaintance of mine owns TACA. Well her family does. They are very wealthy needless to say but the ongoing joke is that their company loses people's stuff. But hopefully you'll be lucky. -Glenda
  10. Edyta, Did I tell you that I finally picked a date? I am going to do Dreams Cabo on July 4, 2008. I am so excited to finally have a date. Thanks to Tammy!!! -Glenda
  11. Anny this is so cute!!!!! I love it! I love your STDs, I love your BM dresses, I love your lounge furniture. Do you want to plan my wedding? -Glenda

  15. Well I live in NY and a marriage license here costs about $60 bucks so the money aspect is not a problem. Plus I'm a lawyer so if I needed any paperwork it would be easy for me to get it together. But in NY all you need is a couple forms of ID, which you can just use your drivers license, copy of your birth certificate, and a passport. It's very easy so getting married in city hall here is very efficient. However b/c I am a litigator and I am in courts all day I get depressed about the thought of getting married in a court. They usually marry people in the basement floor and it's so dingy. (Although I saw Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams picking up a marriage license a couple of weeks ago in Brooklyn Court.) And I am spanish-catholic and my FI is Irish-Catholic and if we did not get married in a church our parents would probably disown us. Plus I know it is really depressing to think about unhappily ever after, but I am a very practical person so I always think about marital laws and what would be more beneficial should a divorce ensue. Sorry to be debbie downer, just wanted to be honest. I just felt like if I got legally married first in the states I wouldn't feel so special in Mexico. Maybe this is dumb but I really wanted the first time my new husband sees me walk down the aisle that it be the real wedding. But I think I'm just going to suck it up and get married here in a church before I run off to cabo. Sorry this was so long. -Glenda
  16. Sorry but I know nothing about eyeshadow or makeup. If I tried to wear makeup I would end up looking like MIMI from the Drew Carey Show. -Glenda
  17. I am defenitly doing this. This is the only thing that my FI wants and I think it is a great idea. At least I know our male friends and they love this kind of stuff so I think it is def worth it. Plus so many things in weddings are really for girl guests and I think it is a nice to give something to guys that they can really enjoy. Thanks Ann for posting links! -Glenda
  18. Hi Tanya. WELCOME! Congratulations on your engagement. You must be so happy. I can't believe that you have booked a place already. June is so soon! You will be married in no time. Sorry I get very excited about these things things. -Glenda

  22. I think these are cute and I agree that it makes sense to give one bag per room. That is what I plan to do. I mean realistically if there is a couple in the room I doubt a guy wants that straw bag. Just add double water bottles or something else a guy would like. And I feel like the koozies are cute for the guys and it can be thrown in the bag. -Glenda
  23. Thanks guys! These are all great. I don't know why but these invites are stressing me out. Maybe I should worry about finalizing my location and date first. LOL. -Glenda
