  1. I will try tomorrow, I think I have a timer on my camera so I will have to play with it.
  2. I bought the petticoat and bra...however if I was still getting married on the beach, I would not have the petticoat, most of the dresses are big enough without it, I just have a southern belle infatuation and really wish I could be scarlett o'hara for one day of my life...so my wedding day seems to be the perfect day for that. By the way, I picked up my dress today and I totally forgot my camera, so I have to wait till FI leaves and I will figure out how to take some pics of it for you all
  3. Just wanted to let everyone know, I finally decided on Liz, I am really excited and feel so happy to have this off my to-do list. Thank you for all your help through this process, it means so much to me.
  4. very cool, make sure you take pics of the finished product
  5. I would pick the three you are closest too then and make sure to have the other girls be VIP's and give them special jobs, like a reading, being in charge of something. For example, my sister is not in my wedding, but is a hair stylist and is doing my hair, one of my best friends went to pastry school and is making my cake.

Every bride can only hope for such beautiful pictures
  7. as of Tuesday I was down 3.8lbs. I ate bad on Wednesday though, so I will be working hard this weekend.
  8. welcome-I am not getting married in Cabo, but Jonathon is right, this started out as a cabo forum and has grown to many other places.
  9. welcome-another salsabride, how fun!! Your wedding is coming up really soon. Let us know if you have any questions, can't wait to hear all your wedding details.
  10. Welcome, you will certainly be able to get all the info you need from our Dreams Cabo Brides and Our Las Caletas Brides here. We have quite a few in each category. I would specifically speak with Tammy (host) and Ann (akh) regarding questions.

Randi, I am sure you will be able to decide quickly with all the information on this board. Welcome!!!
  12. this is great, thanks for this Tammy. I think I finally decided on a photog and she will be there for 8-10 hours. I have a list of shots I know I already want, but this was so helpful. I think I have decided I will do all pictures before except any that require both my FI and I. I don't want to see him before the ceremony. this is the package the photographer I think I am getting offers...I think it's pretty fair. Of course I cannot do the engagement session, so instead I will either take that out and save about $200 or she will add in an a la carte item worth the same at the engagement session. "I offer full coverage with two photographers, a DVD of approximately 800 finished images, a slideshow, an online gallery of all images plus a separate gallery for the 'best of' images for family and friends, all print ready files on CD, an engagement session and a portrait session for $3400."
  13. I really love eternity bands, my wedding ring is not one, but I am hoping my fiance will buy one for our four year anniversary which is one day before our wedding...so my vote is for the eternity band.
  14. welcome to the board. Can't wait to hear all the details.

Also, we need to give our friends and family plenty of notice so that they can save up. I also thought of the tax returns and I think this way people will have two tax seasons to save up. I am sending magnets so hopefully people will just throw them on their fridge and not lose them. -Glenda Glenda that seems way too early, I would do the save the dates this March and then send out invites next March...
  16. Thanks girls, I will send this to my grandma who is working on the flowers for me...
  17. what a great thread to see first thing when you sign on in the morning ;o)

Thanks girls...I just don't want people to get this and think, wow, they are going cheap, I would just rather spend the money on the reception.
  19. I have been looking at the prices of invites, and since I will be sending out just over 100 invites and I already bought these I figure I will try to dress these up somehow. What do you ladies think, does this look tacky?
  20. great-nice new siggy by the way...love it!!
  21. of course there is another side to it. I would love to be able to go to Cuba to find out the other side, but who knows if Fidel dies maybe the US can start working their relationship out with his brother? doubt it but for now we will live through your pictures!!!
  22. welcome to the site, let us know if you need anything or have specific questions.
  23. Jules, Here's the quick history lesson, basically, the previous government was very favorable to the US and I think we even had a Ford plant there. Fidel and his party (group) started a revolution because of corruption, poor living conditions, etc. and took over. when they took over they felt that the US was somewhat to blame for their situation (going back to the Spanish-American War in the late 1800's when the US helped Cuba to become independant) anyway so when Fidel took over he kicked us out, of course then we had the cuban missile crisis, bay of pigs when JFK was prez. Communism was involved with our break with cuba during the cold war and now we are not allowed to travel there, except the military going to Guantanamo Bay. Okay sorry to rant, but I am a history teacher.
  24. me, I had parent-teacher conferences tonight and it's already 8pm and now I just want to watch ER and go to bed, I think I will jump on the bike in a few minutes...
