  1. I would say fans, just because you wouldn't want to block peoples view of your beautiful ceremony
  2. I wish I could say yes, but probably not until the weekend. I don't get off work until late today and tomorrow. But good job to all you dedicated ladies. I can't wait until February 8th when basketball season is over, I will actually be able to leave work at a normal time and work out. YIPEE!!!
  3. how funny my colors wound up being shades of sorority colors too!!! I am an Alpha Chi Omega, our colors are red and green and for the wedding we are doing the colors of wine grapes, deep red (basically burgandy) and green (like sage green) I love hot pink for the beach though girls!!!
  4. booked my caterer today-def good food...and wine, since you apparently like to drink.
  5. Welcome, can't wait to hear your wedding details.
  6. Welcome, the girls have given you some great places to get started. Let us know if you have any other questions
  7. you don't need to apologize for "stealing my idea" that is why we all post our stuff right, so that other people can use it, plus my mom always told me when people do the same thing as you its the highest compliment a person can give you. I am realy glad it helped to save you money, my family is starting to get ours, and they are all really loving them so I am sure you will get the same response.
  8. glenda you are busy girl today, you must have wedding on the brain
  9. Glenda, I have a friend who is totally going to do the same thing. I don't think its weird, because Toni Braxton was doing a show for InStyle she has to get permission to use the color, because its a copyrighted color...so you may not be able to find exactly the right color for everything, but you will be able to find close. You know kinda like the pash's from china town, not exactly the real thing but hey pretty darn close. I think tiffany blue and white would be beautiful wedding colors
  10. I just found this site Sand Scripts' weddingfavoroutlet.com - Product Catalog these might be worth it to just buy them, because after you spend the time to make them and buy the vellum, bags, ink, etc. this actually might be cheaper.
  11. Sand Scripts' weddingfavoroutlet.com - Product Catalog I just found this site, what about getting one of those whole punchers and making your own, or with the prices of these ones, you could just order these. I think the clear label might work, I think I might try that this weekend?
  12. angela, that looks really cute. Our postcards were super cheap to have made. Plus the postage is cheaper!!!
  13. Did anyone ever try the clear labels? I still want to do that instead of vellum? My caterer and I just decided to do the cocktail reception outside and so I think I might need these now.
  14. I would look at an Arts and Crafts store, they always have bottles.
  15. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1829 there is some sand ceremony wording in this thread
  16. This is from another wedding of a family friend who had a DW...I think they threw them into the ocean? Blessing stone poem: Each of our guest have been given a stone To hold, bless and protect Sam and Kelly ask that in your mind and heart You pray that their marriage be blessed. Come cast our stones into the sea, and as the ripples Touch and intertwine with one another, May our love also touch and intertwine To spread love and good wishes to all around us! May God bless us all!
  17. I just wanted to share this poem with you, my cousin is going to read this one (we think) during our ceremony. we are having a religious ceremony performed by a minister, however we wanted a nice poem to be read during the ceremony. This was the one that Cameron Diaz read in the movie In Her Shoes. Which is a great movie if you haven't seen it, even better book. i carry your heart with me by E. E. Cummings i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart) i am never without it (anywhere i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling) i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)i want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)
  18. the sand ceremony is the alternate to the unity candle I believe. You do the unity candle to signify your two seperate people coming together as one. Our pastor told us we could either blow out the single taper candles to signify we were both one...or keep them lit to signify that we are a unified couple, but still individuals...I like the second option and think that the reason people do the sand thing, is candles on the beach might be difficult. plus like Ali said, its a nice keepsake since you cannot really keep your flowers...
  19. weigh in night was last night...another 2lbs. I really did not think I would lose this week because I started my period, however I did, so I am up to 5.8lbs after three weeks. I am beginning to think my 30lb goal is actually possible.
  20. Ali those pics are amazing I can't wait to see the entire thing...
  21. sandals grande ocho rios is really nice it seems like...I think that's where we are going for the honeymoon.
  22. MD Skincare: Dr. Gross M.D. Skincare & MD Skin Care Product at Sephora.com I have recently started using this, and I am really liking it, I didn't want to spend the money on proactive. I use Orgins product for everything like make up and cleaner and then use the pads of this MD skincare
