  1. This worked OK last night - However you need an extra camera to be dedicated to the commets themselves - otherwise you miss everything else that is going on... As a nice gesture for Kashmira we installed an extra camera for comments during the cocktail hour to record guests and family.... However, still it was hard to get every single guest to make comments... Some are just shy and don't want to talk in front of the camera. The thing I LOVED about what Kash did to get everyon's comment was the PICTURE BOOK. SHe had a polaroid on the table and a bunch of colored pens. Everyone was invited to take a photo of themselves, put it on a page in the albem and write their comments.... It was SO cute at the end of the night! - This was a fabulous and fun addition to the reception activities.
  2. Hey Tammy - Congrats!!! - Thise pics of the doggies were from our shelter - did you adopt them? I run the website for the humane society here - we are always looking for people to take our Cabo Dogs and Cats home with them - it is really easy. Animal Shelter Humane Society Cabo San Lucas Anyway - I am glad you had a wonderful wedding here - you looked absolutely gorgeous! m

Hi Drea - I sent you an email regarding raw footage... Thanks for your comments everyone - I totally understand that wedding costs get crazy... I wish we could do videos for free - because we love what we do - However - ... gotta buy dog and cat food! I think Tammy - you have gotten some great advice and insight in this thread.. as always, you girls are great!!! M :0)

That is the question..... Having a video is personal... Some people could not live without one and others are indifferent. It all depends on you as a person - if you like to look back, and remenisse (sp) it's great to have something live as it actually happened... It is also good for future generations to look back on. Have to take issue with the video being overpriced... It cracks me up that nobody thinks twice about paying thousands for a photographer, however they hesitate with the price of the video. Just to let you know - To edit video takes much longer than photos. For every one hour that we are on site at a wedding - I can count on at least 10 hours in editing. Not to mention an extra half a day for artwork and packaging... I just do not want to be undervalued... most brides regret it if they do not have a video.... and I understand that having both a photog and videographer is cost-prohibitive in some cases. Please though - we work really hard after the wedding day, putting our heart and soul into the footage to include the most beautiful parts of your day together in one unforgettable memory package... It is worth the money. (I don't know too many folks who work a 40 hour week for under 1k). I hope I don't sound defensive - it's just that sometimes we video people feel so underappreciated for the amount of work that we do... m
  5. Hi all - I was looking for a post about Natasha's wedding but have not found it... They must be having FUN on their honeymoon... Anyway - I have to say how incredible her wedding turned out at Cabo Surf... Every detail was executed to perfection.. She did an amazing job and was a stunning bride as I am sure you will see from her Photos... I thought it was so awesome that friends and family were there from all over the world! Singapore, Hong Kong, Gyanna (sp) , ShriLanka - not to mention all over the U.S.. I wanted to wish Tasha and Chris the Best of everything - you both deserve it. CONGRATS!!! Marci
  6. GO TO: Wedding Video Demo Baja Video Productions This Video Demo was from a wedding at FIESTA AMERICANA.... It is First Class but, Yes, very $$$$$$$$$..... As far as AIs, also the Royal Solaris and Crown Plaza. m
  7. MARACAS are a great idea! - We worked with a bride a couple of weeks ago who did Maracas - Her guests had SO much fun with them... They were a great party favour - and really livened up the party! We got some really fun shots for her wedding video too! Hers were just plain but I think painting the name and date is a great idea so they can be used as a souvenier... Be warned though... some of them will break during the reception as your guests start to get wild!!!
  8. I also just heard that Frontier Airlines is going to Cabo Direct from San Diego, Orange County and LAX... ( also Denver - Cabo) I do not know the prices but I know they are a "lower cost" airline - might be worth checking into...
  9. FRENCH RIVIERA Cabo Fine Dining Restaurant - Voted Best Restaurant in Cabo - French Gourmet Restaurant and Bakery in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo Sorry - I am not the most accurate typer!!! They are a fabulous bakery and resaturant right on the corridor next to Missiones... At about K-4
  10. Natasha - I would go with Cabo Del Sol for golf - it boasts some of the most beautiful holes in Cabo... Dinner? hmmm all the places you mentioned are waaaay outside of my budget - I am sure Palmilla or Ventanas would be a wonderful experience - they are both places that cater to highly discriminating clientele... Depending on where you are from - beach dinning is ussually a good way to go for an unforgettable and romantic eve...
  11. OK - I think this is the scoop on the time change.... I checked today online and it says that Mexico is changing the clocks in April... I believe it is only the US that is moving the date up... Right now the weddings are set for 6pm. The sun has been setting around 7ish...

A bride last week had individual cakes (for two) done at Grench Riviera... they were so cute!
  13. I think the atmosphere at Puerta Vieja is beautiful... awesome view and great food too. It is on the corridor just outside of town. Other great places for atmosphere are Sunset de Monalisa and Villa Serena. Welcome to Sunset da Mona Lisa http://www.puertavieja.com Villa Serena Restaurant and Bar - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

  22. Sorry - That is for TWO TORCHES in a pack!
  23. I know this was a loooooooooong time ago - but someone asked about tiki torches (I think it was you Tammy?). Well I was in City Club last night and they have them for only 85 pesos (about $8.00). For those of you having beach dinners or events - you may be able to save $$ by getting them yourselves. Hopefully they will keep them in stock... it is kinda like Costco -if they sell good they will keep them there! M
