Thanks Jess! I called RK today, I remembered you got your dress there and were happy with them. Its hard to find online places that sell maggie sotteros because they're very strict. I talked to RK and my dress is 699 and at the salon in town its 690 or 630 depending on the material I choose. But since they're not online I won't be able to use them to get the 5% off. But I did contact a couple of other places and am waiting to hear back if they can get me a quote. If anyone used any other sites I'd love to hear about your experience!

Hi Amber, I remember you mentioned vals to me before and I did see the certificate on ebay as well. I wish there was someone that had received their dress from her, just for peace of mind!!! I'm so scared to not get it or something! Do you know if she is considered and authorized maggie dealer?

I can't believe someone would have the nerve to post something like this on their website!!! It is so unbelievably rude & tacky!!! If I were invited to a wedding and couldn't attend, I would send a gift if it was someone I was close to. But if it were someone I didn't even talk to or like anymore, I wouldn't send anything, especially if I felt I was only invited to get a gift. She's got some nerve!

could you tell me what site, how long the turn around time was, and if the dress was of the quality you were expecting? I don't know which sites are reputable and I don't want to shell out money for a dress that may never come! Any ideas? I know a few of you have done this and received your dress already, so I'd love to hear about your experience. I know we had some other threads on this topic, but I couldn't really find as much information as I wanted, so I thought I'd re-post. Thank you!

someone once suggested baby powder, if you sweat a lot. I don't sweat a lot on normal days, but when its really hot, and if I'm nervous, I'm sure I'll be sweating up a storm, so I'll probably bring some baby powder to try to alleviate that a little bit.

I also went through about a zillion songs today and pulled out some lyrics, now I just have to decide which ones to use!

Paula, I love the Jolie dress!!! Its absolutely gorgeous!! I think for your bridesmaids you could give them white flowers, or maybe white with some green. I know its not one of your colors but I think bright pink flowers would look great with that color dress too!

I remember that Melissa had to go off site to do pictures with her photographer because they didn't allow outside vendors. I haven't seen Melissa on a lot lately, you might want to email her to get a quicker response, I don't know how often she's on.

Your guest book pages, are you going to use those in a scrapbook or are you making just a seperate guest book with them. I ask this because I have been thinking about making a scrapbook for our trip to mexico and our wedding (I have never done one before & am not that creative) so I was wondering if thats how you were planning to use them or not 2. Not really a question, but I loved how you asked guests to share photos, I wanted to do the same thing and wasn't sure how so this really helps! 3. Where did you get the template for your wedding day timeline, its really cute & I'd like to do one. Thanks for your help!! Nice job with everything!

Well, I found a dressmaker about 20 minutes away from me. I was really excited to find her and she sounded great on the phone, but I'm kind of frustrated with how long its taking her to get some ideas together for me!! She told me she can't copy the dress exactly, so I said can we just modify it slightly, she said yes, and she also said we could just design something from scratch. Well she was supposed to send me something the next day, it was several days before I got anything, then she was supposed to send me more options on sunday, didn't get anything yet. I sent her an email today just saying that I really wanted to get this figured out. She has a website with dresses she makes, and they're beautiful, they're are actually several on there that I really like. So, right now I'm just waiting to hear back from her. She told me it only takes her a few weeks of full time work to make a dress, so maybe she doesn't see the urgency, but I really want to get rolling on this!!!! I'm hoping she gets back to me tonight! ArghhhH!
