  2. Welcome & I'm sure that the DR will love any insight you can give them.
  3. I came back as: You are a "Mid-Venturer Traveler". You have an insatiable intellectual curiosity, abundant common sense, and a friendly, outgoing personality. This combination of character traits usually contributes to success in your career. You are likely to hold a senior position of responsibility in your company and will continue to advance in the future. You're also an opinion leader. Others look to you for guidance and direction on what to buy, choices to make in their lives, and the kinds of trips that they might like to take. You love to travel, especially to foreign destinations and you seek new experiences and new destinations for almost all trips you take. You enjoy being physically active on trips but unlike your pure venturer friends, you don't want to take such extreme vacations and are more likely to plan your trips—set an itinerary of places you want to visit and schedules when you will be there. You also insist on a comfortable bed at night (sleeping under the stars generally doesn't interest you), a warm shower, and meals that you can trust rather than taking a chance on native foods. You listen carefully to the unique travel tales of your friends and associates, or read heavily, to learn about the hidden, out-of-the-way places that have not yet become popular or have only recently gotten some publicity. Another name for your group is the jet-set. Your interest in what's new and what's happening leads you to be one of the first to visit destinations that seem to have a new ambience, or book a few days at a new spa or resort you read about in a travel magazine, or tour a country that until recently was closed to visitors. History holds a great fascination for many mid-venturers. But if you've seen Buckingham Palace and the Eiffel Tower, or traced Paul Revere's route in New England, you don't need to repeat the experience. Rather, you'd prefer to stop in lesser-known cities or seek out an ancient monastery or old fort that may not be listed in most guidebooks. MEDIA HABITS: Typically you read more than most—books, magazines and newspapers—and watch TV less. Consistent with your travel interests, you particularly like fact-based television shows or dramas in a historic setting, and programs that explain the workings of some of our modern marvels. You hold strong opinions about much of what you see happening in the world, especially politics, and strongly prefer commentators who agree with your views. SHOPPING: You like technology but typically you will not be the first to try out new hi-tech products. You're likely to get on the bandwagon when the new product or service has shown that it has some relevance to your daily business or home life. But you are still willing to buy these items long before they have become so popular that they have dropped dramatically in price. SPORTS:Exercise and good health habits—proper diet, some use of vitamins and supplements, and following a disciplined routine to get enough sleep and exercise, even when you travel—is likely to be part of your daily routine. Suggested trips: DOMESTIC Take a luxury pack trip through Colorado's Ute Mountain Tribal Park. Kayak around Kauai. Consider a rafting trip down the Grand Canyon, or a mule ride up and down the canyon. Take a helicopter trip on the big island of Hawaii to see sights that few others do. Drive on route 49 through the gold country of California. Snorkel or scuba dive in one of the less-popular Caribbean islands, such as Bonaire. ABROAD Scuba dive around the Bay Islands, Honduras. Drive the coast of Portugal. Take a multi-sport tour of the Netherlands. Balloon around northern Thailand. Spend a week at a dive resort in the Maldives. Check into a Dead Sea spa. Go truffle sniffing in France or Monaco. Take a gastronomic tour of Lyon. Rent a National Trust property in the English countryside. Track the footsteps of the Ottoman Empire in Turkey with a private guide. Take a cruise on a small luxury line such as Seabourn or Silversea, with customized shore excursions. Check out Malaysia's Langkawi, for its remoteness and its very comfortable accommodations. Pamper yourself at the St. Regis on Bora Bora. Explore the sights of Jaipur, India, or Kyoto, Japan. Take a luxury tour of Bhutan.

It is amazing that our first date was in 1992 ~ it's almost like the wedding rekindled this hidden spark. The flowers on the table were the ones on the arch at the beach, all the shells my MOH brought with her, we used them at my shower in PA. We're all planning an "anniversary" trip to either Punta Cana or Rivieria Maya for June '08- wanna come Then we can celebrate together. And yea, I noticed Tammy logged off right after I said I would have it today. Poor girl.
  5. Have a great time - travel safe, and yes, we want to see some of those b-pics.

  8. Thanks Tami, I can't stop watching it. Jason is in Savannah, and I just called him crying. I really wanted to watch it together for the first time, but I couldn't wait another 1.5 days.
  9. Ok, I had to come upstairs and switch computers, and now I'm sitting in a puddle of tears... Jose "Pepe" Lima was our photographer, and I'm so glad we had him. He was absolutely wonderful to work with, and I am LOVING how my pictures came out. Here's the link to our slideshow for your viewing pleasure: Stephanie and Jason YEA!!! (and sorry Tammy)
  10. Awesome review Natalie! Sounds like everybody had a wonderful time, and your pictures are wonderful.
  11. You should be fine with it - we took along our little speakers to use in the room, plus that helped to keep it charged.
  12. You all look great - your dress was beautiful. I really like the photo of you and the "girls" with all the parasols. Very nice.

Did you have to pay extra for the flowers on it? Ummm I think that is all for now...lol.. oooh - if you have any extra pictures of the mexican terrace I wouldn't be terribly sad if you posted them...lol... We went with the Royal Package (the middle one) - for what you get for the "big" package, we just did'nt think it was worth it. We did not have other liquor drinks, just the 2 bottles we wanted, beer and champagne. Honestly, we didn't eat the cake - we cut that one piece, and that was it. The cake as I had it is included in your package price. I'm sure I have more pictures of the terrace. Also, if you go to our wedding website, there are about 600 photos on there from my camera. Feel free to check them out.

  16. Congrats! Take pictures for sure, and remember a kleenex. I cried at my legal cermony more than I did at the one in Mexico.
  17. Absolutely Stunning! I'm sure you've got so many great choices, what a hard decision. I think my favorite is the B/W with you two sitting in the grass and Jeff is kissing your cheek.
  18. Congrats! Have a great time, and take some time to relax and enjoy yourself.
  19. Yea Sarah! Congrats! I know your wedding will be beautiful. Have a great time.
  20. Congrats! I hope that you have a wonderful day.
  21. Beautiful gown. That's one big checkmark on the list.
  22. Welcome! Sorry I can't help you any with St. Thomas, but I'm sure that somebody here has some great information for you. Happy Planning!
