  1. I can't wait to see her FIVE THOUSANDTH POST! It should be a pic, right? EEEEK!!!
  2. Courtney - with only 30 guests, I don't think you really need to stress on this. If you want an MC, then ask your aunt/uncle to do it. Your MOH should be the one that makes sure ppl sign the guest book, your coord should heard everyone to the cocktail/reception areas. People are smart - they usually don't need a lot of hand holding with such a small event. Now, if you were having 100 people, then I would def recommend having ushers & greeters...
  3. I'm personally a big fan of the don't ask, don't tell policy. Seriously, airline screeners are not looking for pot or herbs, their looking for weapons and explosives. Are these herbs in pill form or just loose? If their pills, I would just put them in an rx bottle & carry in my carry on just like I would any other meds I'm taking. It's for personal use, and it's not illegal, so I wouldn't even worry. (can you tell I've transported lots of stuff I shouldn't have?? lol)
  4. Yeah, I wasn't sure about the cherry blossom availability - that sucks! But, I do think bamboo may be a pretty easy option - and hearty! They say that Lucky Bamboo (the kind I posted) is supposed to bring wealth & happiness
  5. Laura, I think that is a fantastic idea! And, very unique. I was thinking the same thing as Ashleigh "why don't you just put sake in them?!" Haha. Is there any way you could do an actual cherry blossom branch? That would be neat. Or, you could do a bamboo thing?
  6. Yep, yep Lisa! You create a new playlist & drag the songs you want into that folder - there you can arrange it an any order you like.
  7. Hey Lisa - we set up a pre-dinner & dinner playlist (to follow up our mariachi band for cocktail hour) and then a post-dinner playlist. Honestly, I think it would be even easier to just set up one big playlist with the chronology you would like...you can always pause or fast forward.
  8. OK, just for clarification, as there seems to be confusion over the whole speaker thing...we brought with us an Altec Lansing ipod player like this: This is all we needed (along w/the ipod) to make our music situation happen. I has great sound quality & comes with a remote which is handy. Seriously, the sound is so good and can get very loud - we had to turn it down a few times. Hope this helps
  9. My hubby was in charge of the ipod. We didn't do any sort of grand entrance since our ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour & then the sit down reception - we were just hanging with our guests anyway, aside from about 30 minutes away for pics. If you have a larger group & want announcements & stuff, I would def put a trusted friend in charge of handling the ipod/mic. Otherwise, it's super easy to just hit play & roll with it!
  10. Oh, I feel like a proud mama! I just know you are going to have the best day ever Tammy! I'm sending you mad positive wedding vibes... Hmm, I wonder what you are doing right now? Getting your pedi? Getting your hair done? Freaking out?! Hahaha! Can't wait to hear every single detail. Congrats girlie~!
  11. OK, now I just have to post to this thread to see what mine is!
  12. Check out the spots on the marina - there are a few new cool places. Once we really liked is called Barometro. It's an outdoor loungy place with cool music & a big projection screen showing mostly surfing. It's a nice chill place.
  13. Oh, what fun Sarah! That book is gigantic! I guess you have to hide it under the bed?? Hahaha! Great pic.
  14. Gosh, ok, I am completely losing track of all these nuptuals...so much going on this week. Best of luck to you for a very special day - really, really enjoy it cuz it's just gonna fly by.

  16. Wow, I totally missed the voting on this, but I agree whole heartedly! Congrats ladies!
  17. I actually had two bags - one came from the designer & the other from the bridal salon. I ended up giving the designer's bag to my MOH to carry her dress. The salons bag was plastic & for the most part worked out well - but by the return trip I got a rip in the bottom of the bag from dragging it thru the airport.
  18. Oh my Tammy...I am so excited for you girly! I can imagine exactly how you feel right now as you go thru all of the last minute running around, making sure you've packed everything for the 19th time, loving your fur babies just a little bit more before you have to leave them, and every few minutes thinking to yourself "oh my gosh, I can't believe it's finally time for us to get married!" You must be giddy & giggly and oh-so happy. Relish these moments - this is the begining of all that is wonderful I love you & wish you and Cain the most magical wedding day.
  19. We sent STD's out 9 months in advance & formal invites 2.5 months in advance of the wedding date.
  20. Congrats Karla! So glad to hear you had an amazing time...now we just need your pics!!
  21. Oh my goodness! This is such a saga. Erik is kidding right? I mean, you were going to have to tell his parents eventually...when was he planning on doing it? Oh well, who cares! You are getting married in Cabo this July - so that's all that matters!
