Christa - That a good idea about maybe adding a line to the RSVP card too. I was even thinking about having some of the free business cards from VistaPrint printed to match the invitation (which I haven't chose yet). and just say to go to our website to RSVP for the events and see details of the RD.

I think that could work... this is where I could also put in a space to write in everyone's RSVP code...

I should email Maye now that I've made a decision to line up BC!

Has anyone eaten there before?

Yes, check the Baja Cantina thread, someone just posted about having eaten there recently(can't remember who?).

I really like the idea of the business card as an insert. That way you don't clutter the actual invite with too much info. Also, you should still try our P Vieja for a dinner treat while you are in Cabo and ask for the private balcony. they will treat you like a king and queen! There are vouchers available at loscabosguide

sarah, the resort set it up for us and i have to be honest, i was a real PITA because i told them i wanted it like 4 hours before...

you do not play for money BUT if you planned ahead, you could have prizes for people. we played blackjack, poker, and roulette...it was fun...not super fancy but it helped everyone get to know each other

  • 1 year later...

I love when I find a thread I am looking for. I thought I would give this a bump as this is the big question I am facing this week.

I just got my invites....we are sending out 85 invites to the wedding. We know about only 45 of those 85 families/couples/singles will be showing up to the wedding in cabo. The invites direct guests to rsvp online so there is no seperate rsvp card included.

I am debtating if I need to 1) send out seperate invitations to the welcome dinner to the definates and maybes, 2) if I can include the invitations in the welcome bag to deliver to guests when they arrive, OR 3) if I should add an insert into the invitation.

Even after reading this thread I just can't decide...anyone else have some ideashuh.gif?

I'm doing departure gift bag instead of OOT bags. In the gift bag i'm going to put a Welcome Packet that has tips, facts about my location, etc. I'm also going to include an iternary which i'll put the Welcome Dinner on there and Wedding Day itinerary.

Maybe you could send out a newsletter about a month before the wedding and just include the welcome dinner info there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
