I just thought of something that I wanted to let everyone know...if you send your deposit via credit card, make sure you call your credit card company and let them know you are paying for something in Mexico. I didn't know this and the first time I tried to pay my deposit, it got declined for suspicious activity. Same with when you actually go to Mexico...call all your credit cards you plan to use and let them know you'll be there. Hope that helps somebody :)

I'm on week 2 of no response...so perhaps in 2 more weeks she'll answer my ONE question...

On a sidenote - question for you wonderful ladies - how many weddings can Dreams have in a day? I thought I had been told two but I think there are three weddings on my day...and I was going to email Ana but I don't really want to wait 4 weeks for a response...

Do any of you have a phone number for me to call her?

Thanks!

Casey

I am still undecided about the DJ dilemma!!!!!!!! I cannot justify the amount of money they are upcharging with the DJ!!! It makes me feel like I am getting ripped off (oh wait... I am getting ripped off.. ha ha). I was at Sam's Club this weekend and they have the BOSE iPOD player for $259. I turned it up pretty loud in the warehouse and made John go to the next aisle to make sure it was clear and loud... HOLY CRAP WAS IT LOUD!!! It made me think that I can just use this for the reception..... I don't know if a DJ is necessary.... any thoughtshuh.gif Why are some of you going with a DJ or not using onehuh.gif?

This was one of my biggest fears. I was completely stressed about it. When we got married there in February - it was the first time they were booked to capacity. When I found that out, I had a mild heart attack. And I tell you, we really did not have any trouble with chairs and the kids were not out of control. It will be fine. It is a beautiful resort and your guests will love it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
