ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

How exciting! we took our last November right after we got engaged and it was chilly to :) I wear exactly that, a sweater dress and boots

Wear what you know you look good in and feel comfortable in

We did not tip our photog. I kind of felt like we paid them a lot already and it was only a session for two hours.

Any of you ladies who had engagement pics taken..did you tip your photographer? I'm not sure if I am supposed to or not...?

Nikki (RunningBride), you looked stunning!!! I love your dress! Congrats, Mrs!

I brought my own decorations (sashes, tulle and etc) for the ceremony and they set it up at no charge.

The florist (mayo diseno floral) sent someone to deliver the flowers to the wedding center and they set it up for you but there is a vendor charge.

Lisa, if you have to, BEG for tres leches cake! It was soooooo good. Everyone loved it.

I also have to vouch for DJ Ivan. He was great!

November 2011 bride - Royal Playa Del Carmen

Hello past brides & brides to be. My FI & I are almost ready to book ou wedding. I have read almost all the posts. Thanks to all of you for sharing!! I just needed clarification on a couple of things and was wondering if anyone ca help.

1. The lounge furniture - how much does it cost, I read $200 per 5 pieces? Is it rented from the resort?

2. Is the lite up stage included in the lux pkg?

3. Does the lux pkg mean upto 35 guests included then any guests over & above they charge?

Any info at all is greatly appreciated;)

Oh anyone else getting married Nov 2011?

Debbie & Mark

Congrats Runningbride and all the other September and October brides!!!

I haven't been on here in forever. My dad was diagnosed over the summer with an aortic aneurysm which required him to have open-heart surgery. I have been his main caregiver throughout his recovery process which has been ongoing for the last 10 weeks. I am happy to say the he is recovering well and getting stronger everyday :)

Now that he is getting better it is time to turn my focus back to wedding planning. I am a month out today and still have a ton to do!! I can't believe November is coming so quickly!

Can't wait to hear all the recent brides reviews! Hope everyone's planning is going well!

welcome!

1. Yes that is correct $200 for 5 pieces, it s rented through the resort, they have their own vendor they work with. Some girls have used outside vendors from Cancun but than you get hit with the $350 outside vendor fee.

2. The light up dance floor is not included, but you can rent it for an additional cost with the DJ.

3.That is exactly what it means and its the additional cost per guest at the royal or gran porto and than its even more for non resort guests.

I was exactly where you are now one year ago. It flys by, I can't believe its only three weeks away. Enjoy every moment.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
