  1. Trying to decide between Dreams Cancun and Dreams Riviera Maya?? Please help! Any tips, advice, comparisons, would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! =)
  2. Hello! FH & I used Octavio for our engagement pics this past August (2010). We LOVED the pics!! He was very passionate about his work and fun to shoot with. I would def recommend him!
  3. I don't know how to "pm" Where did you get the cake topper from?? That is adorable!! I missed the boat on that one
  4. Welcome Christina!! I am a 2011 Cancun Bride myself! =) We did a site inspection trip this past summer and it was my 9th trip to Cancun as well. We looked at several different site/resorts for the wedding but not Moon Palace. We looked at Cancun Palace, Beach Palace, Gran Caribe Real, and The Royal in Cancun. We decided to go with The Royal! It was AMAZING!!! It has a great location in Cancun and the food was good, the hotel services were great-friendly, etc. The Royal is an adults only resort which posed a problem for me because we do have guests coming that will have little ones but the sister hotel which is Gran Caribe Real is right next door so your guests can stat at The Royal OR at Gran Caribe Real and they are all considered to be staying at one place when it comes to attending your wedding. Some resorts charge a fee for those attending your wedding who are not staying at your hotel-to attend but with the two hotels being sister hotels it works out perfect! Every single room in The Royal has an ocean view and upon arrival they ask you which type of pillows you would like, which type of aroma therapy scent you would like in your room, you have 24/7 room service included in your all inclusive and they have spa, gym, etc! It is wonderful! Good luck with your search! Let me know if you have any other questions! =) My email is [email protected]
  5. Hi Ashley! My fiance & I also used Ocatvio & would suggest him to anyone! he was great! We had our engagement pics done July 28th at a beach in Cancun. Feel free to take a look! http://caseyemilysweddingsummer2011.shutterfly.com/ Congrats!!
  6. My fiance & I just had Octavio Montes do our engagement pics while we were visiting Cancun for several site inspections and we loved him and his work!! You can tell he is passionate about his work! He was prompt, friendly, easy to communicate with, and VERY reasonably priced!! Below is a link to go view our engagement pictures! =) http://caseyemilysweddingsummer2011.shutterfly.com/
  7. I love these pictures!!! They are awesome! Congratulations!!!! =)
  8. Hey Vicki! My fiance and I just returned this past Sat from a site inspection of several hotels! The Gran Caribe Real is a sister hotel of The Royal which is right next door! It seems like I rememer seeing a salon at The Royal?? Maybe you could check there for make-up??
  9. Thank you all!! We just got back from Mexico and I think we have decided to have the wedding at The Royal in Cancun. NOW I am trying to decide if I should use a travel agent or not?? What is the benefit or would it be cheaper to just do directly through hotel??
  10. Hey 2011 Brides! I am super excited & had to share the news! We just booked our engagement pics for while we are in Cancun a couple of weeks from now! We are going to do site inspections at Gran Caribe Real, Cancun Palace, & Beach Palace while in Cancun. I will post any helpful information when we return! I really hope we fall in love with one of the resorts because we are just ready to start plannin!!
  11. Hi Ahorton314! Thanks for all the helpful info!! I wanted to get your opinion on just staying at the hotel for our honeymoon as well We are leaning towards Gran Caribe Real for our wedding and I have read that lots of couples go else where after the wedding for the honeymoon...
  12. Hi Ladies!! My fiance & I are fortunate that we leave for Mexico in two weeks and we are going to do a site inspection at Gran Caribe while we are there. This will be my 8th time to Cancun bc we go every summer but we always stay at the same resort (Barcelo Tucancun) because we love it so much and it is resonably priced. SO! Time to venture out and after hours of online research I think Gran Caribe looks like a beautiful resort and reasonably priced compared to others. I am just trying to decide if I should use a TA or not?? I am wondering if it would make it easier for my guest to book? But I also want to get the absolute cheapest prices as well so I am wondering if there is a fee the ends up being built in to the final price when using a TA? Any suggestions?? I am so glad to finally find posts about Gran Caribe and Congrats to everyone!! Abbypoo-Thanks so much for the detailed price information! That help a lot! Since you are having your reception on the terrace, are you having the colored dance floor set up?
