  1. Very pretty! I would also need more though... I'll have to do some searching on ebay!
  2. So, I guess I should share my engagement story! My FI and I met in early 2005, when I was still in high school, and he was taking a year off after high school, at a mutual friend's birthday party. To shorten a very dramatic, long story, my best friend and I both fell for him, fought for him, and I won. (Don't worry, we're still friends, and she's going to be one of my BMs... she never really liked him as much as I did .) We dated officially for a month before he left for boot camp in the Navy. And, after a lot of going back and forth, we agreed to go for a relationship. I went to college in Boston, and he got stationed in San Diego. It was difficult, but totally worth it. In September 2006, he left for his first deployment. He was supposed to be gone 6 months, but later got extended to 9. I flew out to San Diego in May/June 2007 to see his ship pull in, and it was probably one of the best days of my life to be in his arms again! We realized at that moment that if we could make it through that,we could make it through anything! A few weeks later, Joe came home for leave. And, during his leave, he took me to New York City. The very last attraction we saw was the Empire State Building, since neither of us had ever been to the top. I was kind of sort of expecting he would propose, since there had been hints. But I wasn't sure. We went to the top, and we walked around to every side. When we were done going the whole 360 degrees around, I decided it wasn't going to happen, so I asked him if he wanted to leave so we could catch the ferry on time. But he said that we should walk around at least one more time. So we were taking a walk around, and I saw an empty spot, so I jumped in to look down. I looked down for a few seconds, exclaiming how beautiful it was. When he wasn't replying, I turned to Joe, and he just dropped down onto one knee with a ring box popped open and blurted out, "Will you marry me?!" My mouth completely dropped. And I just stared for a few seconds with my mouth open, trying to figure out if I was imagining things or not. And then I was finally able to reply and say, "Yes!" Here's us out to dinner in NYC: Anyway, it's been 2 years since the proposal, and we're planning our wedding for this coming January! My fiance is finally out of the Navy, and I'll be finishing my masters in December . So, LDRs do work out sometimes .
  3. Wow! Those came out great! The rings were flown in by a parrot Omg, I would have probably died of an anxiety attack, afraid he would lose them!!!!
  4. These are a bit old... a year old to be exact lol. They were shot by A Photographic Memory in Hooksett, NH (A Photographic Memory - When you never want to forget) in Newburyport, MA, by Jaime, who is no longer with the company. I edited a few myself in photoshop, since I'm a nerd. To see them, go here: http://www.flickr.com/gp/14201312@N03/7HF990 And if you want to see them in a slideshow (which I recommend) just click Slideshow.
  5. I definitely would not throw them out! If my FI threw away my letters and I found out one day, I would be PO'd! Personally, I keep all letters, whether they're meaningful to me or not, because I'm a sentimental person. I'd like to be able to go back to them one day, or for my children/grandchildren to be able to go back to them one day. If people didn't save letters, we'd never know what parts of the past were like, and about many peoples' lives. I wouldn't touch them. Like PPs said, I think it would be much better to ask him what he wants done with them.
  6. Those pictures came out really good! It looks like your wedding was absolutely beautiful!
  7. Wow, they did a great job! They caught a lot of great moments! And you were such a beautiful bride ).
  8. It looks awesome on you! I wish I could pull off that bathing suit! What you could do is order the black one now, and then return the pink one when it comes in. That way, if it doesn't come in in time, you'll have the pink one. And then you can just return the black one. Also, I know someone else mentioned it, but they carry similar bathing suits to that one at VS stores (they do at the one I work), and they're all on clearance now! The only problem is you can't exchange online orders in store. But you could buy the black, or another dark color there, and then send the pink one back to online.
  9. Omg! That dress is gorgeous! I love it! It looks so good on you too!
  10. I've heard of people doing it... and the people who have have gotten pregnant... I'm not sure if they just weren't super strict about it or what... but keep in mind, you're most "in the mood" during your most fertile time naturally.
  11. I agree with no rules for DW! That dress is gorgeous, and I think you will regret not getting it! GO FOR IT!
  12. Thanks so much for the review! That was really helpful! And your pictures came out GORGEOUS!!! I saved a few as must takes!
  13. Hi, I'm Jess. I'm from Boston, and have been engaged since June, 2007. My fiance and I are planning our wedding for January, 2010 (we still don't have an exact date! Eek!). I just got a travel agent, so I'm excited to finally put some plans into stone! Yay! We're, so far, planning on having our wedding in the Riviera Maya in Mexico, probably at the Grand Palladium... but things could change ). We were originally going to have a local wedding, but decided just recently to save money and go the destination route, so we can save for a house instead ).
