I am really wanting the Seagrape for our reception. Do you "veterans" suggest booking it ahead of time? If so, how far in advance do you need to book? Or is this something you work out with Chandlyn when you get there? I'm just afraid of the other wedding parties going on that day.

Once you get your confirmation there is no harm in emailing Chandlyn to ask if it is available and reserve it. I emailed my requests in March for my wedding in January. The reason I did it so early was because January is a busy time and I know there are a number of brides on here that are interested in the same things by FI and I are. blush2.gif

Hello!

I just had a small (21 guests) reception at the Seagrape on April 1st. We paid $10/person for the open bar on the beach, and they set up one long table with enough chairs for everyone. There were also a few tiki toches set up halfway to the beach. The Steele Band was the best thing we could have done! We only got them for an hour, but they were fantastic!!! The only thing I'd redo about my day, was to have them play longer!! They were set up next to the bar, and so the dance floor was basically between the bar and the table that was set up. Everyone kicked off their shoes and went dancing! It was awesome! Also, because there were only enough chairs for us on the beach, other hotel guests new it was a private party.

I would recommend the seagrape!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
