We are going through the same dilemma...Since we are staying two weeks we are leaning towards the jr. suite(hoping for the upgrade to full suite) for the first week and then switching to the jacuzzi suite for the second week!

If you feel its worth it then go for it!!!

Make sure you have your TA request an upgrade as it is your wedding/ honeymoon or request it yourself. You just might get the jacuzzi suite at junior suite price. We got an upgrade and some other little extras as well. If money is no object then go for the jacuzzi suite!

Heidi, Didnt you go with the "royal" Package? If you did your Jr suite will be upgraded if its available to the full suite. I say stick with that. When we checked in I asked to speak with Susan the manager and I told her we were getting married on site with the royal package and we were so looking foward to the upgrade and she gave it to us with NO PROBLEM MON!! LOL I have stayed there before and I really like the Jr suites so I would have been happy with that too. By the way there really is NO difference inside with the Jacuzzi suite and the full suite besides ofcourse the Jucuzzi outside upstairs on the balcony. I actually like the Jacuzzi inside the room better. Its right next to the bed seperating the bathroom and the bedroom. By the way the Jr suites also have a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. I DONT recommend changing rooms!!! WAY TO MUCH OF A PAIN IN THE A$$!! Sorry girls but honestly when your traveling with soooooo much stuff for the wedding and your there a few days before the wedding you really get comfy in your room do you really want to spend the day before or the day after your wedding moving rooms? I know with all the stuff I traveled with I wouldnt have wanted to move anywhere!! I say stick with the Jr suite and roll the dice if you get the upgrade great if you dont, dont sweat it. Or if money is not a problem just get the full suite minus the Jacuzzi on the balcony! Save that money for the casino or to buy internet time and come online and tell us what a great time your having...lol I do have to say though that getting the full suite did work out nice. It has a walk in closet that made for plenty of room for all our stuff dresses, tux ,wedding supplies and after our cocktail hour on the beach we had the rest of the food brought up to our room and we had alittle party in there for our family until we went back downstairs to the lobby bar. Plenty of room to entertain everyone and for the girls to get ready before the wedding.

What's your budget look like?

For the wedding, we are being upgraded free to a Royal Service Suite.

For the honeymoon, we got the lowest priced Royal Service and hope to be upgraded.

But I have heard from far too many people that you are hardly ever in your room except to shower, sleep and well, *you know* ... so although I love your Jaccuzi Suite option -- do you REALLY think you will use it?

I doubt it.

Save the money or put the money towards something else.

You will not remember the room -- you will remember the experience.

no decision yet.... no idea what that decision will be! Jerzzygirl, we did book the Royal package, but we're going to change it once we get there to the free package since we won't be using the resort photographer or the florist.

Money most certainly IS an object! We just figured it's our honeymoon, so if we every will splurge this is where we will.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
