Las Caletas Brides ~ Post HERE! (THREAD CLOSED)

Recommended Posts

Hey Trisha! You definitely won't regret it!

Don't worry about your guest list being too big either. They say you can expect like 1/2 of the people you invite to actually come to the wedding. Plus, you can inform them in the invites that you will be having a reception locally sometime after you return.

Good Luck with all the planning!!

Hey girls. You definitely can't please everyone. DH's family was SOO against a DW, but we did what our hearts wanted for our wedding day. And in the end DH's parently actually really enjoyed themselves and even said the wedding was great.

I am starting to think about what I want to do for the table cneterpieces and wanted get some info. I know that Las Calentas provides linens but I am assuming they are just white. Anyone know what they do have available other than that if anything? I don't want anything over the top (or anthing that will take up too much space in the suitcase) but want something colorful and fun but don't want to buy something that they might already have available. Guess I could also email Kelley, but thought I would check with all of you first (I tried a search in the forum but wasn't very successful).

You are all SO right. As long as Vanessa and I are there the day will be perfect. It's our wedding, and while I would love to have the ceremony and reception bulging with guests that isn't the most important part of the day. I have my heart set on LC and that's where we're going to do it. I think, in the end, we will be happily surprised at how many people actually show up. I am back to being insanely, ridiculously, euphorically excited about being a Las Caletas bride! The economy does suck right now...but what could be less romantic than planning one of the biggest days of our lives around Capitol Hill?...

Not gonna do it.

And you know what? There are always going to be people who complain. It's human nature and an area in which my family specializes in (kidding). I know they'll be happy on the day of and that's what counts.

Totally have the wedding you want! You have to ask yourself, how many of the complainers would rearrange their plans for you, you know? Probably none of them. And I agree that you may be surprised by the amount of people who turn up. Best wishes and no regrets wink.gif

Last I checked the tablecloths were white but they had a variety of runners. The newer brides probably have more info :)

Hi there!
We didn't bring anything at all except our table names. Everything else you see on the tables came from them! They have lots of colors of table runners to choose from. I picked blue and pink during the walk-through on the day of the wedding, right after lunch and before I went to get ready. Keep it simple... it all looked gorgeous.

What color choices are there for the table runners?

I have a chocolate brown, beige, fuscia, orange, yellow, red, bright blue, tourquouise and probably by the time of your wedding green. I can also rent them if your color is not present in this choice.

Where in Mpls are you from? Did I already ask you this?! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
