That is the question, actually my question is this:
We are having our pics taken BEFORE the ceremony, would I "borrow" the wedding band from the BM so I "look" married in my wedding pics and then give it back before the ceremony?
Also, would I wear my E-ring before and during the ceremony (since I'm still engaged at that point!) and then just reverse the rings right after the ceremony? I'm not going to have the rings soldered.
I know it's a personal preference, I'm just wondering what you gals did or are going to do, for comparison! :)
I thought I remembered a thread similar to this but my search is acting funny today

we didn't have pics beforehand, so i can't help there! but if there are any pics that you really think it's important that the wedding band is on - maybe you can put it on temporarily. but i can't imagine you'd even notice in most pics - would you?

as for during the ceremony - that's exactly what i did. i had my e-ring on the whole time. then the band came on during the ceremony. at some point soon after the ceremony, i flipped them - but i can't remember when! lol

I don't think I wore my ring during the ceremony, I just had my stepmom hold it and before we started taking pics I put it back on.
      Christine + Will (married 7/20/07) + Ainsleigh (born 6/25/08) + Nolan (born 11/9/10) + Delaney (born 12/31/13) = One Very Happy Family!

I did pictures before the ceremony and to be honest with you I don't think I noticed one picture you could tell I just had on my E-ring.. So I wouldn't worry about that. After the wedding I did turn it around but since we got so caught up in what was going on we totally forgot to turn my ring for the rest of the pics.. Again you couldn't tell.

I want our before pictures to look like before pictures. So no wedding ring. When I put them in the photoalbum, they will go before the ceremony pictures. I want it to be obvious it was the first time we saw each other dressed for the wedding.

Just don't have your photographer take close up pictures of your hands & no one will notice.

We didn't have pics before so no help there. I would suggest you just turn your e-ring around if it's a big concern. That way it looks like a wedding band, but you don't have to deal with the wedding band.

For the ceremony I wore my e-ring on my right hand. Right after the ceremony I put the e-ring on the left hand.

We are planning to do before pictures, but I don't think I will be wearing my wedding ring. I really want the "before" pictures to look like they are "before", so I don't want to be wearing my wedding band in any of them. I guess I will just try to squeeze in some "after" shot post-ceremony... does that help at all? I feel like I am rambling...

When I was married before, we did not do before photos - so no advice there. But, as for the rings - I actually took my engagement ring off and the best man had it with my wedding band. When he put on "the ring" it was actually both rings at the same time. It worked for us. : )
