Yes, I'm sure you can. My friend Monica booked a local photog for her wedding there. And I think she's getting a videographer too. . .not sure if she's already booked it or not. But anyway, they are outside vendors. :-)

Man, this place looks awesome! Any idea on prices for guests?
room prices range depending on when you are going etc...i think i got most of ann's guests a rate of $206 per night for double occupancy with a $50 per person spa credit.

so they usually range about $202-240 per night for double occupancy

Awesome, thanks Tammy!

Do you know if the prices would skyrocket in December or January, possibly over New Year's? I'm assuming they would, just trying to weigh some options.

they will def. be higher but if booked early not that much higher...if you were to book by August you should be fine...you really pay when you try to book when the hotel is filling up...

if you get your TA to get a room block for you you should be ok as well.

I think the cheapest rate we got was $106/person/night with the $50 spa credit. Our room block rate was $129/person/night - but we ended up not getting a room block.

One of our guests sent out this picture - it's not a bad way to get an idea of the layout of the resort!

Good to know. I'd just like to add that not only is it great to have this site, but to have a knowledgeable and helpful TA hosting it is so unique and helpful in the planning process! Tammy, you rock! rockon.gif

Courtney - yes we're considering having it sometime over Xmas Vacation. It's pretty much down to either Summer or then because it's important to us to have the kids in our family be able to attend. I still haven't felt the parents out on that yet tho. If it weren't for the kids we'd pretty much be open to any time of the year which would just add one more freaking choice so at this point I'm fine with kids because it helps to narrow something down! LOL

The main reason we've started to consider Xmas vacation is due to Summer weather concerns in PV and Cancun.

I think we've at least narrowed it down to 3 areas: PV, Cancun, Cabo
We're pretty much looking into Dreams in all 3 areas, plus Playa Fiesta in PV. Playa Fiesta would be our #1 choice for our "Dream Wedding" but unfortunately I just don't think we'll come near to the 18 room block (36+ ppl) necessary for the wedding package sad.gif Bummed on this but I think Dreams PV is our second choice and it looks very nice :)

Cool thanks for the pic Ann! How come you didn't end up getting a room block?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
