@Wafflesmom- I love the idea of framing the lyrics. We came across a song that is very fitting for us, but I doubt anyone will have heard of it before. So, putting up the lyrics would be a great way to share the song with our guests! The ring box looks like a great way to hold and display the rings. And, the table numbers came out wonderful. Using the pictures with waffles is a very cute idea!

@perianjay thanks hun for all the support. You've been awesome throughout my wedding planning and have never steered me wrong so I'll follow your advice :)

@yycbride2016 thanks so much, I love the napkin folds. I'm also glad I can tie the place cards to them so I don't have to worry about them flying away. I'll definitely let you know how the bubbles turn out

Update:

Ok so I've been quite productive the last few days, feeling pretty good but still lots to do.

We got Der's tie and pocket square, his bestman's tie and our ring bearer's bow tie in the mail and the colour is the oerfect coral (hot coral). I've played around with Der's pocket square and he chose the three triangle peak fold. Here's a pic of it on the hanger
attachicon.gifimage.jpeg

I completely forgot to post these but @ashhtayy reminded me last night with her post. I also saw these on @perianjay's planning thread and knew I had to follow suit. The "J" and "D" are in solid coral and the "&" has black and white script with words related to weddings like love.

I've also made our final payment to our photographer Samuel Luna and I've also sent him our wedding photography timeline and our list of must-haves for photos. I cannot wait to work with him, I've heard great reviews and seeing @acw271011's pics just hit me even more excited. He's confirmed that he and his fiancé, Karla de la Rosa will be photographing our wedding. She takes amazing pics as well so yay!! We've also decided to extend our photography package by an hour, so now we have 6 hours of coverage.

I've also finished downloading and making our playlists for our welcome BBQ, getting ready with my bridal entourage, our ceremony and the cocktail hour. Der's nephew us bringing his Beats Pill for us to use. We used Apple Music and it's awesome. So many songs to choose from, all can be downloaded and played offline, plus with the 3 month free trial, it's free!! If you're planning on using it maybe sign up for the trial closer to your wedding date. That's what we did ;)

So our to do list still includes:
- send list of songs we want to the DJ (list is 90% done so this should be crossed off by tomorrow)

- get one of my bridesmaids to finish placecards. She knows calligraphy so I'm taking advantage of her talent lol

- finish buying OOT bag contents (Advil, Pepto, tissue, candy, etc). We've already purchased antibacterial from Bath and Body, emergen-c, and pool inflatables for kids. Then assemble everything

- finish folding napkins then attach place cards

- buy picture frames for displaying engagement photos

- make personal appointments for nails, wax, threading and hair cut and colour)

- pick up dress/final fitting (this is scheduled for this Saturday)

- make binder of receipts, WC correspondences, PO from resort and vendors and vendor contracts

- pack

- buy flowers for ring box

- test out Ativan on Der. If it doesn't work and he's still nervous, we may nix the vows. If it works, then we have to write our vows

- write thank you speech

- print engagement photos

That's all I can think of, I'm sure there's more and I'm sure I'll remember mid sleep lol

Totally LOVE the coral colour, and I'm really sorry I said it was red before! It's just the way it came out in the pic. But the "hot coral" looks great with the gray. Really sexy! The letters are totally cool!! Lit up they look really great! Your list has definitely shortened!! lol Remember what it looked like 6 months ago???

Wow. I can't believe you're so close now. Steph left today and you're next! I can't believe how much time has gone by! Oh my goodness - Ativan???? lmao Is he really that nervous?? That's so funny. The poor guy. He'll be asleep standing up!! lol How about a good stiff shot of tequila instead? Would that not help? I'm sorry - I'm sitting here chuckling just thinking about it. The things we put our guys through!!! lol

Update:

So my productivity continues, yay!! Yesterday I bought some frames for our table numbers and for miscellaneous decor items for our cake table and sweetheart table. One of my decor is a framed print of lyrics to our first dance song, Thinking Out Loud. I had this custom made by the same designer who did our fan tags, Paper Confetti Co. Highly recommend her! The lyrics in script are in silver foil and will be displayed at our cake table.

attachicon.gifIMG_1353.JPG

Another thing I finished was the look of our ring box. We were initially going to buy a ring pillow but I really didn't want to pack a lot of bulk. While I was on Weddingstar, I saw these acrylic wedding ring boxes that can be personalized. I went to Michaels and bought some artificial flowers (coral rose and dusty miller to coordinate with my bouquet) and placed it underneath the rings. The flower is there for two purposes, for decor and to prop up my ring. The slot for my wedding band is too big, especially for a thin small band. So the flower underneath props it up well. The actual ring holders is a little bit crooked with the flower underneath but who's really gonna notice. If it bothers me, I'll just add more dusty miller.

attachicon.gifIMG_1356.JPGattachicon.gifIMG_1357.JPGattachicon.gifIMG_1358.JPG

Last but not least, the ever so talented @perianjay has helped me out again. I'm really bummed that my little fur baby Waffle can't be a part of our wedding. Unfortunately she'll be in a kennel while we're away :( So I came up with the idea of having photos of her as our table numbers so that in a way, she could be a part of our wedding. I tried to do numbers on photos of her but it seriously looked so amateur and not at all classy. So I turned to @perianjay for help and she sent me an example yesterday. I love them so much that I have to post what she sent me.

We've decided to our engagement photos with Waffle in it so that it's part of the wedding theme. These will go in a 4x6 silver frame that I bought from Michaels. I love them so much, they turned out better than I had imagined. Thanks @perianjay for making my dream a reality.

attachicon.gifexampletablenumber2_6.jpg

I also bought a few things for our OOT bags and just need a few more things to complete it. Once that's all done, I'll post it on here.

So that's it for now for updates. Hopefully my productivity continues which means posting a lot more frequently :)

P.S. @perianjay, yes my Grade 2 teacher was a b*tch LOL

Wow and double wow!! Everything looks incredible!! I never would have thought about framing the lyrics, but I would love to do it. The song that I walked towards Doug to still makes me cry so to do something special with some of the words would really be special. He picked the dance song which was the same as yours but I didn't know what it would be. I left it up to him and told him to surprise me. The first dance wasn't the big deal for me because we already had our "first dance" when we got married. I wanted something really special to walk to just because of the circumstances and I found it.

Isn't Perian amazing???? I still look at our board that she did and that makes me tear up too!!! Yeah - I've been really sappy lately. Just stuff.....  the table photo is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! It's so special! And puppy is adorable!!!

The ring box is beautiful! I totally LOVE it!! The flowers you put in are so pretty!! That was one thing I wanted for our renewal. We didn't have one when we got married and I always felt bad about it so I ordered one. I definitely am NOT creative enough to make one!! You did an amazing job!!

Geez..... I'm sitting here tearing up just because of all of your stuff!! You're all so incredible! You, my GTA ladies and others that I haven't mentioned. It's truly a privilege to be a moderator for the site with all of you.

I can't wait to see your vision come together and see what amazing things Sam and Karla do with your photos!

@acw271011 It's not just you! I have been so sappy lately too haha. I think for me it's definitely the 'post wedding blues' I finally starting unpacking some of my decor the other night (because I had been purposely leaving it so that I didn't have to deal with my feelings) and I bawled my eyes out as I unpacked it all.

I love the table numbers! Now you've got me thinking how can I incorporate my pup into our wedding! I bought her and my fiancé's parents dogs little pink and black bow ties for our legal wedding haha but I wish my little furball could be in Mexico with us. Perian did an amazing job as per usual!

P.s. I will post a pic of my wooden letters either tonight or this weekend when I get a chance

Yeah I hear ya girl. I don't know what it is. It's not post wedding blues for me. Things have just been so crazy. Coming home from Mexico and losing my job, then out to BC for a week, home for a week then Black Friday stuff kicking off Xmas, then down east for 9 days for the holidays plus stopping in Belleville for Xmas with 2 of my granddaughters, home for 5 days then back to the U.S. for Xmas with the boys. Now we're planning to get to Ottawa later this month for another Xmas with the other granddaughters. Plus Doug booked us a weekend in Niagara for the Icewine Festival. I spent 2 days in the hospital this week and I'm back for 2 separate days next week. There's just been so much going on and I'm still trying to job hunt in there too!! I so wish I could retire!! Sometimes I just wish I could say "stop the world. I want to get off" lol

@acw271011 @Wafflesmom @yycbride2016 aww thanks ladies! You all make me feel so good :)

You have a real gift and a true talent! The compliments for your creativity are well deserved!!

@perianjay, @deecol, @cruisebride2016, @acw271011, @yycbride2016, @maddjax Thank you ladies for all the beautiful and kind words. It really means a lot to get compliments from you all. You have amazed me with your designs and planning so compliments from you all just makes me so happy :)

@acw271011 Ann, thank you for the beautiful words. Your post made me teary (so I guess it's not just you and Perian who are emotional). I second your post, I too feel so blessed and grateful to have met so many wonderful women on this forum. You have all inspired me to be creative, you have all been there through the stresses and the challenges, and most of all, you have all supported me in my wedding planning. I can truly say that I have made lifelong friends thanks to BDW.

AND You are absolutely right that the time has passed by so quickly and my list compared to what it was 6 months ago has gotten significantly shorter :)

@perianjay thank you for being you :)

@maddjax My onsite is Leidi Laura Guzman, who's yours? And I can't wait to meet you as well! Countdown is on for the both of us :)

Update:

I picked up another décor yesterday that I'm so in love with. This will go on our sweetheart table and will complete the look

@perianjay has also finished all of our table numbers. Once I've printed them, I'll be sure to post them. Thanks again @perianjay. Waffle says thanks for making sure she's included in the wedding ;)

I've also finalized our music list for our DJ and have emailed that to them. Woohoo, another one off our list.

Today my coworkers threw me a lovely bridal shower at work. I was honestly so touched that they organized such an awesome shower with lots of food, cake and gifts. Clearly they know me all too well, hence the cute cake topper.Attached File  IMG_20160107_182319.jpg   148.8KB   6 downloads
