Kcole123 Planning Thread - April 17, 2015 - Melia Caribe Tropical

Haha glad you like the eyelashes! I actually wore false ones on top of my extendions for more oomph for the wedding - I'm glad I did too. But for the rest of the week I just had the extensions and it was great to look "made up" around the beach, etc.

An update for you - my lashes are fully back to normal about 3 months after. I would have loved to keep them as well but too costly and a bit too high maintenance for me. I like being able to rub my eyes :). But I definitely can't leave the house without some eye makeup now like before and I miss how I looked with them

@@kcole123 what song did you choose for your Father / Daughter Dance??

I'm stuck here....I've been doing the fast Irish / Newfie waltz with my dad since I was little so I'm kinda thinking I want a faster Irish / Newfie Song...but I'm having a hard time finding one...my family are die-hard for old Irish songs so I have to find one.

hahaha Meandhim,

The only dance we are doing is the bride/groom. We aren't doing a father/daughter or mother/son just because his mother would be uncomfortable with that and without a doubt my father would. I wanted the boat to be relaxed, not formal, and just a way to celebrate. We aren't doing speeches, just me and Nathan saying a few words to thank everyone for going.

We aren't as formal as most...hahaha

With regards to music though for the night, we are def. having a mix of everything and that includes a lot of irish/newfoundland music. My fiancé listen to that too having a few drinks on a Saturday night. Yes and I end up having a crying load talking about missing home...hahaha Fiance has too.

hahaha @@Meandhim

Yeah you can't have your fiancé and his mother stealing the spotlight hey girl? That's so cute.

Yeah my family aren't so huggy and touchy feely kind of people. We love each other and would do anything in the world for each other, but when it comes to hugging and stuff.....nah we don't do those things...hahaha

And the funny thing, Nathan's family is like that too.

You will have to share your music list once you have it finished!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
