Wedding is in about 6 months and everything logistically is falling into place beautifully!

I have just secured my last vendor (all of which are really nice and helpful).
PM if you want the deets....

She's a baker by the name of Carla and her bakery is Pasteleria La Migaja. She is on Facebook. I do not think she has an official website.

She is SO warm and very quick to reply.
That paired with her beautiful designs, numerous flavors, and fair price made it a no brainer.

If any ladies are needing to hire a baker near PDC check her out!

Very pleased!!!

Interesting, I never thought to order a cake outside of the one at the resort. However, Dominican cakes are my favorite.. YUM

So far 79 adult guests + bride and groom + 13 kids = 164 room nights. Focused on planning without stressing.

Yes, I am marrying at a beach club. The bakery I had in my mapchick near my venue was no longer in business... and then a pretty popular cake maker in Cancun had a delivery fee that was justifiably high bc she would have to come all the way from Cancun, so we scratched that idea. After a couple of days I found Pasteleria La Migaja.

We are doing a lemon batter with raspberry filling. :))

      Mmmmm, cake.... :D

Pasteleria La Migaja is a lovely option (and now @LisaAnthonyPoppy has made me crave raspberry filling!) Here are some tasty inspiration photos from this Playa del Carmen bakery. Happy (delicious) planning!

@Matt Adcock the little girls expression in the first photo is priceless. What a great shot. So innocent and filled with excitement, I'm going to show Carla this photo!

This is a thread about cake so your request may go unnoticed- but Wright Travel (the owners of this site) are the best in destination wedding travel and I would 100% recommend them for Canadian Brides. reach out to Tammy or Wendy and they will be able to assist.
