Tumbler / Koozie Sayings

Recommended Posts

Thank you so much @@calgarybride2015! I didn't realize the cups were small. I was assuming they'd give us bottle but I completely forgot about mixed drinks or non-alcoholic drinks. I was going to get koozies but I might get these now.

I have never seen bottles on a resort.  The only time I saw a can was from the mini-bar in the rooms.

Everywhere was draft beer or mixed drinks.   Wine usually came in a wine glass.

While I love the beer koozie idea, I don't think they would get used on the resort, but more back home!

Agreed. I have been to 30+ all inclusives and it's very rare to see bottles anywhere out and about at the resort. Small 8oz plastic cups are the norm- filled with either drinks or draft.

I really want to give gifts that my guests will use after the wedding, so we decided to not personalize mugs or koozies. Since our wedding is very small,  we are getting Bubba mugs, and adding a ribbon around it with a lable that says "to have and to hold..and to keep your drink cold". This way, we can use the cute phrase, but its only on a tag and not the mug itself.

@@calgarybride2015 I've been having a tough time understanding how/when guests will use the tumbler. Do most people just take them to the bar and ask the bartender to pour the drink in the cup? Or do they just pour it in themselves. Hope this isn't an ignorant question. I like them, I'm just confused as to how my guests will use them. I like the sticker by the way. I agree with omitting monogram or names so the guest will use them again.

Thanks for asking this question! I've been wondering if this is something people would use or not.

Yeah I don't know why I thought they'd have bottles or glasses. I totally wasn't thinking!! With all that free flowing alcohol it's not good to have glass around. There would be broken glass everywhere. LOL

I live on the beach in North Carolina, and many of our beaches have no glass containers laws. It's because if they break then there is glass every where and people can get cut. We have beautiful beaches in NC, but you would be surprised at how much trash is left by the tourist. I'm assuming people getting cut is why they use plastic cups and they are probably cheaper too.

We have LARGE bubbas! I'll see if I have a picture. There is no way we could get these for our guests, we would need 10 suitcases, but they are awesome.

If you look at the table behind me, you can see a couple single cups, the large one behind them are empty ones stacked up. They are tiny. The ones I had last time in Mexico were a bit bigger, but not like a tumbler or bubba!

I think I have to invest in one of these Bubbas for myself and FI. The bigger the better ;)

I absolutely love the idea of making tags! We have also bought Bubba's for our guest and I really wanted to personalize them in some way however since they are pretty expensive I wanted to make sure that my guest would use them again. Thank you so much for this idea :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
