Besides Bouquet And Boutonniere, What Other Flowers You Getting?

Recommended Posts

My wedding package only includes my flowers and my fiance's boutenior. Also 2 hanging arrangements on the gazebo and one for the signing table.

I was thinking of not getting anyone else flowers becuase I was trimming costs, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted my bridesmaids to have flowers. I picked a basic 3 daisy bouquet and they quoted me $22 each. I can handle that. I will get them 3, with an extra 4th one and use all of them as the table centrepieces at the reception. The gazebo flowers are then moved after the ceremony to the head table at the reception.

All men will also get a boutenior.

There are lots of alternatives for your bridesmaids - fans, pinwheels, clutches, etc. Lots of posts on that here.

My package comes with my bouquet, 2 corsages and 3 bouts. I am going to give the corsages to my mother and MIL and have my dad and FI wear the bouts. And get white calla lilies as my bouquet to divide up between my 6 BM's, which probably will be only 2-3 flowers a piece so they have something to hold for walking down the aisle. Since they won't need them for after ceremony, and the flowers seemed pricey at my resort. And then I am buying a bouquet on etsy for myself.

To be honest, only my BP, my ring bearer and flower girl, and my dad are having any sort of flower.

Maybe this is a new thread topic, but I am not buying anyone corsages and the like.

I don't know? I feel like 'where does it end?'   If we get my fiance's mom one, then he has to get his dad one -- but what about his step wife because that's fiance's step mom.  And wow, makes my head spin.  So as I had originally thought noone would get flowers, I am happy with just the actual BP itself.

I'm happy to see other brides are going the fake flower route. .I was worried I was being cheesy and cheap... but now I'm Second guessing needing to bring the bouquets with...

I'm very lucky my MOH owns a flower shop and my sister also makes bouquets so if I want any type of bouquet I have educated girls. ..I would love real flowers but haven't found anything I like so that's why I figured go artificial and get made what I want and bring them. .. oh I'm torn.. FI says he doesn't want to wear a bout but what would they wear then? ?

I also thought about what some other brides have done, going to like Sams club or so e thing and getting my MOH to make bouquets with fresh flowers but I don't really want the hassle of needing to find flowers plus it takes time out of our trip and stress

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
