My save the dates and my invitations...

After a long period, I FINALLY got my save the dates out last week.  I initially planned on DIY, but i'm really just not that creative with arts and crafts and lacked the time to be able to do it the way I would have wanted it done as a slight perfectionist.  So I caved in and ordered save the date magnets from Magnet Street, and ordered my invites from Allurement by Rebecca (AWESOME!!!!)  I am so in love with my invites!!

I did an letter insert because I have a lot of older family that do NOT use the internet so to avoid a lot of questions ...this was the route we chose.  The insert is a word document that i placed on a design from Vistaprint, and it included our greeting, our TA info, and on the back of the insert, I included the hotel blocks, cost, and gift registry.  We bowed to family pressure regarding having a gift registry.  I attempted to make the inner envelope that was included with the magnet less plain so I ordered customized monogram stickers from Zazzle.com.  I also got gel glitter pens, rubber stamps and red and purple ink pads from Michaels. I traced around the sticker with the purple glitter pen and filled in the letter "O" in the word Love with the red glitter pen. Took a while but we're getting positive responses so that's great!  I whited out our last name and wedding site but you can pm me if you want to see our website. Hope you like!

I forgot to mention that I also ordered stamps from Zazzle.com since I didn't like what the post office offered due to the cost of my save the dates.  I ended up ordering custom stamps for the save the dates and invites, and using the wedding cake stamp for our reply envelopes.

Thank you! I wish i had picked a colored legal size envelope for the save the dates, but too late to worry about it now. The small white envelopes came with the magnets so that was the only option unfortunately.

I did regular shipping because it wasn't a rush for me at the time. I was silk waiting on other things. Like right now I'm waiting on my stamps for the invites

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
