Recommended Posts

Hi Kritinac!

I am getting married May 25th at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall! We will be down there at the same time!  I am in the same boat as you. Loreto said that the WC would start getting all the details square away a few months before. I tried contacing Tai Flora, but havent heard back yet. I have heard not to worry that everything will be amazing!

Congrats!

Hey Lady!

I'm new here but was thinking about having our wedding in Jamaica around the same time as you guys (Oct/Nov 2014) and I was wondering if you are worried about the weather at all? I can't decide if it's worth the risk!

Thanks for your help in advance!

And Congrats!

Hi Ladies! I am getting married July 26th 2014 at the Suites. So far we have sent ou our invitations, booked our photographer, talked to Tai Flora about the flowers I would like, ordred my dress, and picked out my bridesmaid dressed.

I am trying to find tumblers to put into out OOT bags for our guests to have on the resort. Does anyone know where I can find ones that are a reasonable price for about 50 guests?

Hi Ally,

I just received my tumblers for our OOT bags and am very happy with out they turned out. We ordered them from discountmugs and they were about $2.69 each. We had 60 created so they came to about $211 with shipping, etc. The picture below is hard to see clearly with the lighting and background but we had it created to say "To have & To Hold...& To Keep Your Drink Cold." We also added a graphic, our names, the wedding date, and Montego Bay, Jamiaca at the bottom. They came with the straws included but it isn't in the picture. Hope this helps!

Hi Ladies,

We are getting married December 14th. I don't see very many winter brides but I was wondering for the few that I saw, what time and where are you having your ceremony? We are looking at doing ours on the beach but I want to make sure that we have enough time to take pictures after the ceremony. I'm worried that if we do it too early there will be a lot of extra time between the cocktail hour and dinner, and if we do it too late then it will be too dark to take pics.

Also, is anyone giving their guests shirts or bracelets so they can identify each other around the resort? We are thinking of doing those gel-like bracelets with our name and date on them in our wedding colors so that our friends and family can meet each other before the ceremony.

Does anyone know if they charge you to use an outside photographer? I saw a post of a photographer that lived in the states but has a home in Jamaica for the winter months. Of course, can't find the post again :( Anyone know who I'm talking about?

Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
