I'm a fan of the corset back because it does give a little bit of wiggle-room in terms of weight-gain/loss...I have 4 days of good eating and drinking, I will need it!!!  Plus to me, it just has a romantic look to it...

And I always knew I'd be a Maggie bride and most of her dresses are corset-backs

ok, question time: the very first wedding i was in (but none since then and i've been in a LOT of weddings), the bride had a lace up back and those of us that were her attendants vowed to NEVER have a lace up wedding dress for our weddings as it took us 3 times to finally get it right.  but i see so many of you with lace up dresses and am now wondering if that's the way to go.  thoughts? comments? would love to hear why you chose to go that route.  thanks!

OMG!  March 14th is right around the corner - I cannot wait to see this dress!!!!

I found my dress the 2nd time out....nothing that I was looking for.  It's a Paloma Blanca #4115.  I recently started to doubt my choice until I saw some of the girls on here with similar dress styles who recently tied the knot which put my mind & heart at ease.  I will repost a picture.

All of you ladies look so freakin' gorgeous!! i love how different everyone's dresses are, but each one is just such a perfect fit for the girl who picked it! Amazing!

You're so sweet to ask... Second fitting is not until March 14! It's going to look like a completely different dress, I want it done now LOL Tell me your progress, and remind me of your dress choice?

that is beautiful. I love the lace top with the beachy skirt! I could NOT pull off a mermaid dress, let me tell you LOL I'm glad your mind is at ease, because it's stunning. Man, I hate dress doubt, don't you?!!

So... I posted a couple weeks ago I had decided to order this (which turned out to be a discontinued Maggie Sottero- Cassia):

          C1.jpg

Then someone convinced me to go to try on some similar styles and make sure I liked it.  And I did like it, but just didn't give me that "this is it!" feeling.  So I figured while I'm there, let me try some different styles to see if there's anything I might like, and me, who swore I didn't want anything strapless, or anything "foofy", fell in LOVE with this:

Like seriously, was dreaming about it all that night!  And they had it, off the rack, in my size and in ivory, which matches his linen suit PERFECTLY!  You can't help but think it was meant to be =)  The plan is to take in the top ever so slightly, shorten the length a bit (for sandals/barefoot in the sand), and shorten or just totally remove the train (it's partially tucked under in the photo).
