Thanks everyone.  My consultant picked it out for me so I owe her a big one.  I told her what I wanted and she hit it out of the park.  Luckily the Davids bridal I went to did not have any of my favorites there.  Otherwise I am not sure this one would have been pulled.  I love it.

One thing I have to say, I went to 5 bridal salons and EVERYONE was so nice at every salon.  You hear about people having back experiences but I never experienced that.  Everyone was excited and happy for me as well as the other brides who were in each shop.  It made for a very lovely experience while performing my search.  I hope every bride has that kind of experience!

I have already narrowed it down to two dresses, the galante and mikaella 1406.... The reaction when I tried on Mikaella was blah to say the least and the galante received big oos aaaahs and wows all around.... I think I am going to go with the galante... I am just trying to decide whether to get the pronovias and have the alterations made orrrrr to have it made for me with all the changes I want lol.....

When are you shopping for yours?

torilynn...i LOVE pronovias..i was going to go with a pronovias gown..but opted for a morilee instead..given the fact that this is my 2nd wedding i didn't want to spend the mega-bucks on a gown..so, i ended up with two...who knew!  lol!!!  i say go with pronovias but find a GREAT seamstress (outside of the bridal shop) who can do your alterations..they tend to be much more cost-efficient...

happy planning!!!

Just saw your gown on your planning thread and LOVE IT!!!!! It is very similar to the silhouette of the pronovias galante I am obsessed with lol but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 1 strap detail.  I originally had it in my head that I wanted 1 strap, loved it when I tried them on too!!! Maybe I will alter the Pronovias to have 1 strap lol who knows!!! Forgot to mention my dress love when I commented on your planning thread but I had to say it is gorgeous, I think you will be happier with the wow factor of your ceremony dress and then the comfort and cool of your perfect party dress!!!!

Congrats Brenners and Merrylee on finding your dresses! They are both beautiful!

I bought my dress on the weekend as well and I'm soooo excited! After all the stress I went through feeling like nothing was just right... I ended up with one of the first dresses I ever put on... I was comparing everything else to it and when I put it on again, I just knew that nothing could be better! It's Maggie Sottero Adorea and I can't wait to wear it! woot.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
