I worry about being too hot as my wedding is at noon!

This is a good question. I originally wanted a short dress and this was one of the reasons why. I ended up with a long one though... but it is pretty light. I am curious what previous brides will have said.

This is my wedding dress I purchased from Kleinfelds.  It's a Lazaro and it was absolutely beautiful with tons of beaded detail. Loved it!  I need an excuse to wear it again! cheer2.gif

400 Just picked out this bridesmaid dress. Honestly hardest thing to have girls agree on everything and finding a dress that can look good on all different body types! They plan on wearing some sort of belt with their dress.

Hi Joanne,

Yes, I would. It was about what looked best on me, and what made me feel beautiful. I tried on a number of the lighter weight "destination" dresses, and they just weren't flattering for my body type. I was hot and sweaty dancing at the reception - it just didn't matter to me. I wanted to enjoy every second of the party, and I did!

My advice is to find the dress you love, and embrace every bit of it. You can always take a break to freshen up, or cool off for a few minutes. Take some blotter paper with you in your bride bag, and some extra make up to do a quick fix. Then get back to that party and enjoy it.

Hi Vanessa,

No, I didn't do the trash the dress, just a few shots on the beach before sunset.  Thank you so much!  One of the best days of my life. :)

Thanks for the advice Allie.  I'm going dress shopping next weekend so I will just see what looks best.  Ultimately, I would like to find a dress with a detachable train.  That may solve everything!

Check out the Alfred Angelo style #2219... its a long dress with a detachable bottom and it is gorgeous! Then you would get the best of both worlds!

How long did it take to come and did it look well tailored? I want to replicate my actual gown for a TTD and I heard a few brides say they got dresses from China. My wedding is July 5th and we leave on July 3rd- so do you think I will have the time?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
