2014 Hard Rock Punta Cana DR Brides!

Recommended Posts

Hi Kiki! I have seen both in person and the element terrace has a GREAT view of the beach. I went with the eclipse only because i have elderly and guest who can not climb steps and eclipse has a staircase. Did anyone send you photos of it?
Are these the locations for private receptions after the ceremony? If so, are either of you ladies planning to have music or an open bar?

My fiancee and I are going to do a site visit in July. We are scheduled to get married on January 18, 2013. We have about 50 guests right now and we look forward to our visit so we can try to decide where to have events. We plan on taking pics as well. If you search around the Hard Rock Punta Cana site under Destination Weddings in Punta Cana you will see a lot of pictures of the resort. Katya Nova posted some great pictures. We wanted her to do our pictures but she will be out of the country. We are disappointed because her pictures are amazing.

Hey ladies! I am in the process of planning my wedding right now and not 100% on all of the venues yet. Doing a site inspection in June to lock everything down! So far, my plan is to stay at the hard rock but have my wedding at the Jellyfish. Wondering if anyone knows if and how much HRH would charge me to have my photog and make-up artist on site for just a couple of hours while I get dressed?

Hey Ladies,

I need help from anyone that has visited the HRPC, I'm getting married January 15, 2014 and working with Mia a Miami wedding coordinator. Well she says that all of the cocktail/reception and wedding sites are booked up and we don't have an alternate site in the case of rain. She says the only thing that is available is the Woodstock pool, which we are booked for, and which I can't find a picture of anywhere. I'm having to base my decision on her advise, which is nerve racking, because I don't know if it is a honest opinion. So, if anyone has seen the Woodstock pool could you please tell me something about Mia says that it is very nice, I can't tell from the very limited pictures and view, which it looks like a big slab of concrete, and one review said that it was one of the loudest pools. I'm at the end of my rope with this, if we don't get more information and/or the HRPC can't accommodate us with an alternative rain site we might change our plans in mid-stream and go with another hotel, although I REALLY wanted the HRPC. Please help, any information would be GREAT, thanks!

Hello AngieRich! You are getting married three days before my fiancee Kelly and I. Wednesday must be a really busy day for weddings. I don't have any advise at this time although we are scheduled to go to the hard HRPC in mid-July. Barry

I'm a newbie - first post.  I just booked my wedding at the HRPC for 3/14/14.  AngieRich, this is my biggest concern.  We want a ceremony on the beach and the reception on a terrace close to the beach.  How long after submitting your location preference form did it take for Mia to tell you that your choices are booked?  I don't want months to go by before they tell me I may be stuck at a random pool.  My coordinator tells me not to worry because the resort is so big, so I shouldn't have a problem getting one of the beach locations (Isla or Ipanema) and one of the terraces (Element or Toro).  But I can't grasp why they won't actually confirm until 30 days prior.  How is it that I've seen examples of Save the Dates (on the All Classy FB page) where people are listing the exact beach/reception sites? They must be sending those out several months ahead of time - are they just hoping for their requests to be met or are they getting actual confirmations?  AngieRich, something must be going on 1/15/14.  It's a Wednesday - how can every location be unavailable?  You might want to push for answers.  I know that the whole resort was basically sold out for a period this past January for a concert and all of their die-hard fans.

Thanks, Barry,  wow you'll be getting married when we will be heading out, but we will be at the resort at the same time! My TA spoke with his contacts, although, right now we don't have a back-up site his contacts said that the Woodstock area was very nice. Any information on your impression and pictures of the different sites would be great and helpful to all of the HRPC 2014 brides. Also, they both agreed that January is a pretty dry month for weather.

Congratulations!!!! I know both our weddings will be wonderful.

Thanks again, Angie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
