  1. Hi Ladies! Just some info about the salon. You Can NOT use the credits towards your hair and makeup. I contacted them directly and they said the usage of the credits has changed and they no longer allow it towards those services. From what i seen in other brides photots they did a pretty nice job with the hair and makeup. Also..They do NOT offer flase eyelashes if any of you were looking for that. You can bring your own strip lashes and glue with you and they will help you to apply them but thats the most they will do. They will not do the individual lashes either.

  3. Hi ladies! So just an FYI I recently needed to add more rooms to my group contract and I was told by the resort that once I went over 20 rooms that all of my guest would lose their resort credits. I didn't believe them so I looked at my contract and it was in fact written in there! So. My TA dealt with them and got it removed from my contact. The moral here is if you have more than 20 rooms check your contracts!

  9. Does anyone have enough rooms to qualify for the free private functions and the 7 free nights? I was wondering how we get credit for the 7 nights free. My TA said that the resort will probably send her a check and then she will give it to me. I heard someone else say that they do the credit at check out?

    Congrats Junelove! I am so happy to hear you had a great time. My wedding is March 8th and I was really nervous about all of my guest meeting up on time that is a great idea to set expectations in the welcome bag! How did you get the welcome bags to your guest?

  12. I sent my save the dates our a year in advance. MOST of my guest are already booked but i am mailing the formal invites out the third week in august after i get them back from my calligrapher. If anyone is in the NY area my calligrapher is AMAZING and really reasonable, I put the RSVP date for Noveber 8th. I figure if people arent booked three months before the wedding then are they really going to book at all? My Wedding is March 8th
  13. I e mailed my Lisa my WC and told her where i wanted each party to be. I did a site visit so i was able to see where i wanted everything.The same sites you have to chose from for paid functions are the same sites you chose from for the free private functions. They wont confirm that you have the free functions until the rooms are booked. If you e mail Renee and ask her for the sites she will send then. I suggest you chose locations quickly because the resort is becoming really popular and everything is booking quickly. I googled the name of the decor company catalog they gave me and just e mailed them directly and got a quote. www.weddingsandeventsinpuntacana.com that is their website and they have a great facebook page as well!
  14. Hi ladies! It's been so long since I have Been able to get on here. S2bebride I think it's 50$ a person for a private function I will check my documents today because I am having a welcome dinner the night before my wedding as well. I'm having my welcome dinner at the Eden pool and I'm also having a cocktail hour and a 4 hour reception in one of the ballrooms. I'm basically done with the planning process and my wedding is march 8th 2014. If any one has questions let me Know I have tons of info from the resort and from the decorations company. I worked directly with them because Miami was charging me double for the decor I picked out. I also did not chose the photographer on site I wasn't crazy about their work. I booked HDC because of their great reviews on here
  15. If you speak with your coordinator they should send you a packet with all of the possible sites and the names of the pools.
