Hey ladies what is everyone wearing? A beachy casual dress, ball gown, a line vintage etc? Shoes barefoot sandals? I thought I wanted beachy casual but when trying on and searching I like the look of an actual gown. The so called destination dresses just don't scream wedding to me.

Those with wedding party what are girls wearing? Short/long dresses? Casual? Haven't picked yet but we've been trying both long and short chiffon.

are your guys wearing? Full jacket and ties? Button ups? Etc.etc?

We can't decide. Thinking of linen suits but just vest not suit jacket. Maybe just the linen pants and a linen shirt. Oy..just don't no. FI is worried about being hot he is always hot. Guys wearing shoes? Mine are gonna have too he refuses to go barefoot?

What about flower girls/ring bearer?

I don't like the "destination" dresses either. For me, just because I'm getting married on a beach doesn't mean I want a short "beach" dress or a casual flowy sheath. i still want to feel and look like a bride. I love the fit & flare/trumpet style gowns - no satin or lace because I think that will be too heavy for the beach but I've tried on some light airy organza and tulle (?) dresses. And a bit of bling detail .. maybe from a sparkly sash.

For him, I'm envisioning (or telling him lol) cream/khaki colored pants and vest, no jacket, white shirt and a tie. He tried to argue that it will be too hot for a tie but I do NOT want his chest hair sticking out lolol. He wants to wear sandals which I;m OK with as long as they are new, tasteful and match his outfit. he jokes he is going to wear his 15 year old timberland velcro water sandals

I though the same thing about lace until I found a very light laced dress. I feel in love immediately.

Yes same here. Everyone seems to have a negative opinion on me wanting a real wedding dress not a beachy dress kinda pissing me off. I'm wearing what i want. Hahaha better monitor him he just might be waiting on the beach in his 15 yr old timberlands

How have to brides book you Wedding packages?

We have contacted 2 TA they say itâ€s too early to book or get group rates.

Iâ€m having  a June 2014.

Please feel free to share your TA info most of my guest will be flying out of NYC, BWI or PHL.

We already booked the wedding and the bride and groom's hotel through our TA. Most guests will be traveling from St. Louis and we already have a PIN # for a group discount. Bride and groom will be traveling from Oklahoma City and there are no charters from OKC so we just booked the room and will add air in Dec. when it becomes available in Dec. Guest's packages ( thru Apple vacations) are already available ( including air) according to our TA.

I'll probably be one of those brides wearing a 'destination' dress, but to each her own! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
