Color Coral

Recommended Posts

I am having my bridesmaids get their dresses from David's Bridal. They have beautiful coral colors and a lot of different dresses to choose from. And the best part is they are cheap! I didn't want my girls to pay a lot of a dress they will wear once. I chose the color guava. I want my wedding to be classy and elegant, so my other color is white. My decorations will include a lot of pearls, candles and flowers.

I think the aqua looks good with the coral I was thinking of maybe the MOH having the aqua and maybe the flower girl having the accent and the other girls wear the coral but I'm not sure.  They actually saw a dress they like on david's bridal in coral it was an alfred angelo design.

Other coral elements include a lot of papercrafts (Scrapbookers Paradise was closing in town, so I bought out their coral paper! LOL) and font and such.

Our colours are actually coral and different shades of blue.

Oh! And I found a cute purse at Payless end of last season that is coral, so I will have that too.

Any other ideas, ladies?

wow you are going to do the dresses yourself..impressive I wish I had the talent and patience.  great find on the purse.

I agree don't want the girls to have to shell out too much money but, this is why I am allowing them to have input in thier dresses they can maybe find something cute and reusable

Hey ladies! Just found this thread...Coral is my main colour with tan and pops of turquoise...my bridesmaids all purchased dresses from regular stores that are all different shades of coral and they did an awesome job!! They look so good together!! They are going to be carrying all white flowers..in my opinion that looks the best..and I am hoping to have white and as close to coral flowers as they can get for my bouquet ..i have a couple questions for you ladies...I am having the hardest time finding nice coral decor....it's either way too pink or pretty much straight up orange...did anyone find nice umbrellas for the guests, chair sashes or mens ties??? I appreciate the help!!

Coral is the main color I chose as well. I am having a little bit of a problem - because there are so many different shades of coral. What I really want is a bright and vibrant coral color - and something what I am finding is that some of the coral colors are more dead. I am looking for bridesmaid dresses right now, and have found so many cute styles - but I have my mind set on a particular color and its so hard to find - especially that summer is over now.

I also want to use gold as an accent to the bright coral - I think it will look very pretty.

Gold and coral will look lovely together! Coral is indeed a hard colour to find when you have a specific shade in mind. I found that a lot of styles were too orange, or too pink, or too peach... But we lucked out and found $30 bm dresses from Forever 21 that were a close match to the shade. Almost a little too rusty, but pretty close. Just keep searching and looking online. Search in unexpected places, and you might luck out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
