2013 Now Larimar Brides !!! Any out there ???

Recommended Posts

To recently married Now Larimar brides, we're you charged an extra fee if you brought along your own decorations. I have read In the resort website that if you do bring stuff of your own then it would be subject to evaluation... I'm just wondering if it is worth it?

they do charge a "set up" fee but i have found that it comes out way cheaper than to use their decorations and centerpieces. I am not sure if you got any quotes from them, but their basic centerpieces are almost $100 a pop!

I agree the centerpieces are quoted extremely high!! the center pieces we are considering were quoted at $65 each and all it is, is some sand on a 8x11 frame with a large conch shell inside of a vase.. I think I will have to do some research to find the needed materials and travel with them..

Just an FYI if any of you ladies (or gentlemen ) were assigned to Yakayra Fulgencio?? I just received an email stating that she is no longer working the property and i have been assigned a new coordinator!

@DR2015 Thanks for the heads-up, I was wondering why I had not heard anything back from her. This will be my third one, who did you get as a co-ordinator now?

Francina Rodriguez.. Their turn over rate appears to be pretty high!!

Hey there, I am getting married one month from today!!!! YIKES! So soon.  I do have a question, has anyone had services done at the salon at Now Larimar  other than hair/make up? I will be in the DR for 6 days prior to my actual wedding day and I am curious if their nail salon is any good?  Any input would be helpful!!

Hello, my dear brides!! These last days I've been receiving some requests from brides that are getting married in November and December and are in a budget or have a really small group for just a few hours, so without modifying my storytelling style I've decided to make a new package for them.
If you are in the same situation and haven't hired your photographer yet, please just get in contact with me. I am committed to inspire you, and fulfill your wishes for the most meaningful day of your lives :)

  • 4 weeks later...

I brought down my own chair sashes (75), matching blue fabric for the gazebo, 72 votive candles, like 400 fabric flowers, and blue little stones. Knowing i would be paying a set up fee didnt bother me since the decorations were all diy (so i was able to make it inexpensive)

Thanks so much for your pictures!!  We are getting married in 3 months!  We were thinking maybe twinkle lights draping and are trying to get a better idea if it will look good.  Do you have any more pictures from the reception?  Also, did you guys have a blue lighting by the trellis??  Anyone with more pictures from the reception at the pool would be soooo helpful!?

Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
