Kind of jealy right now. This wasn't in our budget for a week and we didn't think it was worth going for 3-4 days and then have to deal with relocating a second time.  But we'll keep it on our to-do list for an anniversary trip

It helps that we're travelling during more of an "off" season. I will definitely give a review when I get back so you will know if it's worth it for the anniversary.

We are leaving tomorrow for Now Jade.. did our legal paperwork this morning and our wedding is on Monday, April 29th! I can't believe it is finally here :) I will share my review when we return. My biggest concern is getting through the airport with my wedding dress and 6 month old son.

I spoke with Pilar and she said she I could use the hour of photography for rehearsal dinner. If she did not provide it in writing still be willing to force your request. I had her put it in writing, but I called everyday until I spoke with her directly( 2days). She was very unresponsive via email.

From what I remember, you will pay for iPod set-up for the ceremony even if you have a dj for the reception. Then, what pissed me off the most is that you have to pay $40 if you want them to re-use your chair sashes for the reception or you have to provide double. Super annoying. Oh, and you can't use your hour photography whenever, only for the ceremony. WTF! The rest I forget but I will post it later.

As a tip for everyone, I put numbers in front of all my questions and Pilar answered every single one of them. :)

eeeeek we leave in 4 weeks from yesterday!!! Had a half hour call w Pilar yesterday and I'm feeling pretty good. A word of advice, her written communication is far worse than her verbal, so I highly recommend arranging a phone call with her to hash out details. She is very thorough and followed up with an email. I have found that if I have been very directive in my emails, she is very clear. One thing about the resort photog, as I have seen a few posts lately...we have hired Derek Campbell (PIC)

Oops clicked too early We have hired PIC for our photos so we aren't using the resort photog for the wedding. Pilar said we could use him for something else but for one hour only. So we're thinking of having him cover one hour of our dancing, or if not then she suggested a photo shoot another time, either for us or for our guests. Just something to think about, she said he has done beach "photo shoots" with guests in the past, so that's an option..

    • we ended up using Facebook messenger when we were in Mexico - the hotel had free wifi and at least 1 person from each family/couple had FB on their phone already - it was pretty easy to communicate among guests "hey, we're heading to the beach bbq for lunch." or "everyone is hanging at the small pool today".  a plus was that some people tried to get a hold of me via FB on the day of the wedding and I was totally not checking my phone - they were asking if the wedding was outside given the rain forecast, thankful my mom, MOH and a few other friends were on the group and could respond for me :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
