Haha no one has booked yet with us either but guests don't feel the urgency I don't think!! I agree --- for an all inclusive , we aren't going to do the private reception either, it's soo much $$$ considering we all just want to go eat and party after anyways. I just hate I'll be missing a few traditional things like our first dance etc- my only concern of Not having a reception ... sad.gif but I'm still excited and can't wait, Jamaica is beautiful! One more question, did u wire money to their Miami bank?

I did not have to wire anything. Our travel agent is taking care of getting the down payment to them.  I am sure you could request a song to be played at the Infiniti Bar that night!  :)

Hi All,

I am ordering my dress this week and I am getting very excited.  I will be married at GPLH on April 18, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gazebo.  Reception to follow at the blue lagoon.  I am trying to decide on a cocktail hour after the ceremony - we have children attending and I am worried that people may need a snack before 6 pm dinner - especially if the dinner is running late.  Are they very on time there?  Or is everyone on "Jamaican time"?

Hey ladies,

Does anyone know the cost of bringing in an outside vendor the day of the wedding? What about having a guest that is not staying at the resort; obviously we will have to pay for their dinner and spot at the reception but is there an additional cost as well? We have 3 ppl attending our wedding that will not be staying with us on the resort. at this point we are paying $65 each for them already...really hoping it is not more!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
