Hey Ladies, Just wanted to give an update in regards to my last post on here......I was freaking out a little.......ok a lot! I posted in hopes that someone else had run into this issue and would give me some reassurance. Shortly after I posted this, I heard from Rashel and everything was sorted out. Rashel and her assistant did our hair and make up and everything turned out amazing! They were both on time, super sweet and we all got exactly what we had asked for. The airbrush make up lasted all day and night and was perfect. In that heat I wouldn't want to do anything else. She really is worth booking if you are on the fence at all......if anyone wants any photos, let me know!!

Yes, you have to pay $80 per vendor so if you have rashel and her assistant plus a DJ you would be paying $240. There is no way around this; I was thinking our vendors could just walk onto the resort but they get stopped at the front by security. We asked our wedding coordinator if she could do better on the price and she wouldn't budge. With that added cost hair and make up was very expensive! I did like my hair but I felt for me my make up was too much, Rashel did a great job and my make up was flawless all night but since I don't wear alot of make up I didn't really feel like me......

Hey ladies, My husband and I left a review for you all to read in the reviews section. Don't let it scare you away however.......we just wanted to warn you. I am sure you will all be happy with your wedding and to me that is the main thing.

I had Rashel come to do my make up and I paid $80 to get her and her hair stylist onto the resort for a total of $160.

Anyone use Rashel Edwards? I contacted her via FB as some had suggested, I send her a deposit of $170 US and I leave for my wedding in 3 days and despite sending a few msg's to get in contact with her I have not heard a thing. I am freaking out a little bc if I don't hear from her, not only have I lost that money but will likely have no one to do hair and make up! Has anyone else run into this issue?

Hey ladies, We are laving in less then 2 weeks to be married and we just got our cost synopsis back. For those of you that hav already gotten married and used the steel drum band, was it worth it? We are trying to cut our cost down a bit and are contemplating having them or not.......did they play for the full hr? Did your guest enjoy them?

Awesome, thank you! We were quoted $500 to have them play-should I ask to have them cheaper if we are using a few of our own songs as well? I was planning on using a song for my walk down the aisle as well as one when we walk down the aisle together as husband and wife:) Otherwise, I was going to have them play the rest of the time.

For those of you that are already married-did you do a cocktail reception? Where did you do it? Did it include food? Was it private? My corrdinator just sent me all of our forms to complete and I need to fill this portion out, I didn't even consider this and am not sure what my options even are.....

Chelsea, The steel drum band played at the ceremony? When you say other music do you mean music you brought? Or you wanted the dteel drum band to play at that time? Did you give them a list of songs you wanted them to play? We plan on using them for our ceremony and were hoping they would play for the whole hr and the whole time except when we are doing our vows of course. I was only going to request a song for when I was walking down the aisle and other then that i was just going to have them play whatever they liked. Did you request all your songs? You say you paid 350? I thought it was $500?

The cake will be made according to how many guests you have, you pay $20 pp for any number above 8 guests. I am not sure on the flavour but from my understanding your cake is served at the reception site.

Hey ladies, We are going with the steel drum band for the ceremony and don't want the IPOD docking station and speakers, do you think they would give us back $500? Or let us use it at the reception? I see that they charge $500 for the ceremony.....we are planning on bringing our BOSE system for he ceremony at the blue lagoon.

We had to get our documents notarized, we had our lawyer do it and then scanned the documents and emailed them to GP. Just look up lawyers or notary publics in the yellow pages if you don't already have someone you work with. We are also bringing a photographer from home with us. We will be using the steel drum band but I feel the DJ is too expensive, I think its 300 for an hr, not 3 hrs. We are bringing down our BOSE system and will just use that for music. We also want to get an upgrade for our room, our agent said she would try to work on it for us but isn't sure he can get it. I plan on calling the resort myself to try and swing something.

Hey girls, I am brining in an outside vendor for hair and make up and I had no idea the fee was $300!! I thought it was around $60....... I am pretty sure it is $60 for someone to come to the resort for the day so why couldn't the outside vendor we are bringing(whether it be for make up or photography ect.) just say they are a guest of the wedding? Thats what Ill try to do, I can't imagine paying another $300 on top of what I am paying for hair and makeup-maybe I should have looked into this more before I booked my MUA-lol

Courtbestbride-where did you find the tea lights? They sound perfect! Does anyone know if we can leave things behind for other brides to use? Would they store stuff for us? If yes, Court Id be willing to buy your tea lights?! I don't want to bring anything else down that I don't have to.

We are going down with 2 kids under the age of two so have sooo much stuff to bring! I really don't want to have to bring anything else.

Hey ladies, Does anyone know the cost of bringing in an outside vendor the day of the wedding? What about having a guest that is not staying at the resort; obviously we will have to pay for their dinner and spot at the reception but is there an additional cost as well? We have 3 ppl attending our wedding that will not be staying with us on the resort. at this point we are paying $65 each for them already...really hoping it is not more!

We are contemplating this show as well, I really want to use the steel drum band and not sure we should spend the money on both......

That sounds awesome! We are getting married on May 2 at 4pm. I am going to look into other options for my bridesmaids too.
