Hey Katelyn Carney!

Congratulations on your wedding in the DR! A very popular choice that can be completely customized to fit your needs, pull in details of your dress, etc. are barefoot jewelry! I wore them for my own wedding and designed them for all of my bridesmaids. I design for brides on the forum here all of the time. They make wonderful keepsakes that you can take on your honeymoon, trash the dress sessions and future vacations (or just wear them for fun!). They can also be worn with heels if you choose. I've attached a few pics below. If you have any questions or are interested in a custom pair, feel free to email me at [email protected].

AND get ready for tears at the end with a video I included of another BDWF Bride, Janet who purchased various custom pieces from me. In particular, take a look when she slips on her barefoot jewels :)

This is my problem--or dilemma, I am getting married in the DR in Oct, I am not very coordinated and can't walk in heels on pavement let alone sand, but I don't want to do barefoot either, so I am trying to figure out what type of shoes to wear.

I have seen some flats but they aren't that nice and my dress is all lace, so I don't want to wear something boring...

Any ideas on where to look for flat sandals that aren't flip flops that I can acutally walk in on the sand!

I recommend the wedges at partyflops.com they are like flips flop but fancier, I ordered some for me and my bridesmaids and they are really comfy and fancy and it saves you from going barefoot not the hot sand. Plus you can get them custom made with your name & your husbands, I still wear mine!.

I just checked these out and they look great!

i think I am going to get some for my BM's and I.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
