OK...Rehearsal time- We JUST found out 2 weeks ago what time it would be...getting married in 1 day less than 1 month! There are 2 weddings the day before ours so for us, the time is at 7pm on Friday, the day before. We asked this question about 2 months in advance while we were starting to figure out our welcome letter....I wish I thought of it earlier as we are in a bit of a scramble getting everything printed!

We have someone we found on Etsy doing ALL of our stationary. (save the dates, invites, thank you's, welcome letter, check in card, itinerary, favor cards, luggage tags, menus, do not disturb signs, wedding party events letter.) She does everything custom...colors, design, wording, font, you name it! Here's the best part...EVERYTHING she is doing cost less than invites ALONE we found on wedding paper divas, papyrus, and other various sites. I LOVE her! Her name is Ginger and her website is

Welcome drinks... that is a good idea too...

Do you guys have itineraries for your guests?  I haven't put much thought into this to be honest... but now I am starting to wonder how you communicate with everyone!  I'm assuming there will not be normal cell phone coverage!

How are all you ladies working out this communication piece?!  Now I'm wondering how we even figure out who is in what room, etc.

Also, none of the planners have mentioned a "rehearsal" to me... anyone doing one of these?  Or are these normal?

Apparently you all have become my wedding planners... I suppose Gloria will appreciate not getting bombarded with 400 emails from me with 1 question in each! ahah!

Bridetobe11 thank you so much for sharing your pics! Your wedding looked incredible!

Jill - I was wondering about a rehearsal too. I'm not really worried about a rehearsal dinner per se, but it would be nice for us and our wedding party to know the plan for the actual ceremony. I guess I should ask Gloria about that LOL

May 12... this stuff is GREAT!!!

HOWEVER... it has suddenly stressed me out!  I would LOVE to have something like this (all of it!) printed; however, I am NOWHERE NEAR as close to you having such an exact itinerary!  Holy cow!  Did you ask 1 million questions, or how did you learn so many details!?  From what I have found, the wedding coordinators don't offer much help as far as "telling" information as they do about answering questions...

Also, can anyone help me out... what is this fiesta that the resort hosts... is it Friday nights?  We're getting married on a Friday & our reception is at the lobster house.  Where is the fiesta?  Will it be a distraction?  (I guess not that it matters at this point, I'm just curious!).  Wow, I am a stress ball tonight!

One final question for the night, and then I swear, I will go to bed!

What did you all have for dinner?  Or what are you having?  (at the reception, not tonight haha!)

              First, thank you! :)

YES! I did ask about a million questions! I found out the same as you, they do not offer up much info, so here's how I did it..I was doing a few questions at a time and getting a couple back...asking the leftover ones and a few more...I gave up. I put the questions in 1 email with headings on each subject...FLOWERS..then my bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, centerpieces, etc...until everything that involved a flower was done....then ceremony details, reception details, menu, rehearsal, DJ, photographer, after party, spa or honeymoon info, payment, etc, and every other MINUTE detail I could think of. We went back and forth with different color font each time we got back to each other so we didn't get confused. It took a broad topic and then drilled it down to get to the little details. With much lag time between responses, this was the way for me to get a lot of answers quick. When it was something timely we were waiting on, I just told her I needed that info asap. Did they miss a few...sure, but I found it easier for me to re-question it because it was right there. Don' get me wrong,I'm still waiting on info but feel SOOO much better that if we got there tomorrow, it would be something of what we imagined. WHO KNEW this wedding planning would be so crazy!!

Bridetobe 11-your pics are amazing!!!! Thank you for sharing. I am getting my hair and makeup done at the spa(I'm having a sceond trial done for my hair here. My hair is naturally curly and I want it half up/half down and need to know before I get down there how it should look).

May 12-oh my gosh! All of that looks SOOOOO amazing! I was thinking of doing something like that(DIY), but I love your's way more.  Im leaving in 10 days, so I don't think I can have them ordered like you. I have to do mine soon:(

JillConnor-The night of my wedding (Im having it at the lobster house) there will be a beach party. It's on a monday night.   I was concerned that it will intefere with my wedding, but nayeli(now I have Gloria) said it wouldn't interfere at all. I was really concerned about it as well, I was even thinking of changing the date because of it, but I decided not to.

Sunset-I decided to go with cream, light pink and fushia colors for my pashminas. I thought everyone probably already has black and hopefully everyone will like these colors(I was afraid to go with the orange, as it is a tricky color and it could turn out to be a burnt color). I also decided to buy gatordade packets and they arrived yesterday.

Gloria told me that we do not have to have a rehersal, that she will be with us the whole day.  The wedding party is small-2 gilrs, 2 guys.  Maybe that's why.  I still haven't chosen my menu yet because I had questions about it.  gloria told me that I could switch back and forth between the gold and silver packages.  I was going to have the chicken with goat cheese, but the dessert that came with it, I didn't like, so I can choose any dessert I want.  I am very happy about this.

I'm getting married 12/1/2012...the day after you! (11/30 is my bday! :-D )

                  Reading through everyone's planning responses....

We are using the gazebo for the wedding (we have about 40-50 people). Now just trying to figure out the reception details.

Our wedding is at 1pm....trying to figure out if I should hire a DJ or just have a cocktail party & dinner.

You have so much narrowed down! I guess I better get on this! Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

Are you using the onsite photographer? I'm beginning to think maybe I should hire someone.

Best of luck in the planning!

                      hi,

I am at excellence now and it is SOOOOO beautiful.  Everything I put into my checked bags made it through!!!! I was so nervous about the sky lanterns, welcome bags and gatorade packets, but nothing happened. my fiance even had a random check done in his bags(I put some stuff into his) and he was fine.

I met gloria the other day and she is so nice and friendly. I am not nervous about anything at all. I cannot get over how beautiful it is here. the food and drinks are wonderful.  when i return, i will write up about the wedding.
