Newbie looking for a non resort venue!!!..

Hey Yzzel,

The Blue Venado is a very new location, so we will be heading there soon for some test photos.  If you are going with a smaller, non-resort venue, I would highly recommend hiring a local wedding planner to work out all the details.  I understand how difficult it can be when you are not on location yourself and when you are dealing with a different culture and language.  Here is a planner I have worked with often and can highly recommend:

- Luisa or Genela at www.weddingsrivieramaya.com

You can also check out the Ak'iin Beach Club in Tulum.  I've shot a few weddings there and it is a beautiful location as well.  Luisa and Genela also work with this location.

Hope that helps widen your non-resort options!  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hello Jessss,

Just to give you an idea on the beach clubs prices .Most beach clubs in PDC do not charge a set fee, you mostly have to choose their menu based on your taste. and as for the drinks, do you prefer more a national open bar or international. If you are interested I can send you details on other beach club options That I work with mostly.

I you have any question do ask and I will be happy to assist you.

Happy Planning

Dear  Yzzel :   Congratulations  for  your upcoming wedding ,  there are several places  that can host your wedding ,  Blue Venado is a beautiful  place  for weddings  , it is a little bist rustic  but the  beach is totally private .

I highly recommend Villa Sol y Luna  for wedding  , they are wedding friendly and also  promp response , they have  a large pool terrace and large wedding for ceremony or even beach reception , please see pictures below . I also recommend  Hacienda La Esperanza is a very pretty Hacienda  near to the airport  and only 15 minutes from the hotel zone ....this  would be an authentic  excperience.  IMG_0044.jpgIMG_0700.jpg

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
