Post your centerpieces here

Recommended Posts

Ladies,

Thank you for all of this inspiration.  Many of you are SO creative.  I especially LOVE the wine bottles with the postcards.  My fiance and I have been living in South Korea for the past 2 years and have done LOTS of traveling, so I may try and re-create this idea.  Hope you don't mind :)

*Futuremrstgun - The scrabble pieces on the table is such a unique idea.  Your tablescape looks great!

Happy planning everyone.

Agreed! I'd like to do plastic too. There might be a comment earlier on in this thread about someone traveling with plastic vases. It sounds vaguely familiar...

Hi Mich,

Can you please post a picture of your homesense plastic vase find?  I was just there today and didn't see anything but I never even thought to look there! Also what section did you get them in?

I am assuming you are talking about the water beads (good for real flowers too!!!) You can find them on ebay, amazon and a google search of "water beads" will give you a TON of results.  I believe many florists and even michaels sells it now too but they charge an arm and a leg, ebay you can get them for about $1 a package and that makes quite a lot!!!!  Great for travelling as the package weighs next to nothing!!!

ladies....

i just got some quotes from Tai Flora in Jamaica for centerpieces, and I anticipated about 75 dollars (as the top end) and am I ever wrong! They started at 79 and up (US dollars plus tax) Can I ask what others are paying for their centerpieces ? I just don't want to haul a bunch of stuff down there (ie floating candles or something) if i have 8 tables ($80 per table x 8 = 640 for a 3 hour reception?)  I'm torn....seems like a lot of money to me.

Hi Tori!

I don't have the plastic vases at my house, they are at my bridemaids house, cause she's the artistic one and is in charge of doing the centerpieces! I got them maybe 3 weeks ago the vases, they have a stem, bigger at the botton, smaller in the middle and then a bit larger at the lip.... I went to HomeSense in the brossard area, have no idea if all of them have the same items! Only bought 2 !! Yes i'm crazy .... I really regret it ... because I'm sure to need more! Will go look tomorrow if they still have some more , they were with the summer dishes and Bbq stuff...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
