Ladies I have good news!! I found an expresso frame at Michaels which has 4 removable panels suitable for sand ceremony frame. It cost $14.99. I'm going back tomorrow morning to pick one up. I will post a picture of it once I have it. I tried looking for it online at michaels, but it's not coming up online.

Oooh, please let us know how that turns out DiamondGirl!

Jess, thanks for posting this! I've been looking for a frame too, but can only find it for $60+, like you said. I knew I'd go the DIY route, but I wasn't exactly sure how...thanks!!

I picked it up at michael's. The original price was $14.99 and I paid $7.00 because it was on sale. You can always use a 40-50% coupon too. I wasn't able to use a coupon because it was on sale. I haven't tried it out yet because I have to make a hole on top so we can pour the sand. I think it should be fine. I'm going to post a pic this weekend so you can see how it looks.

I tried looking for a DIY frame and I had no luck - for over 9 months I have been looking at every store that would have a fame and never found it.

Finally I went on Etsy and found a seller that makes them and will ship to Canada.  I am not doing the traditional frame with a picture, but rather having our last name enscribed into the glass along with our names and our wedding date.  I am really looking forward to getting it.  The only down side is that its about $80 with shipping to Canada.  So if anyone is interested and having the same problems I was in finding an appropriate frame to us....you can always check out etsy.

Sorry for the delay with posting pictures and info on the frame I purchased from Michael's for my floating picture sand frame. It's a 4 way frame with removable panels. I haven't worked on my frame yet because I've been so busy with planning considering my big day is 28 days away. YIKES!! Here are the pictures:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
