February 2012 Brides!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I'm getting married 2/24/12 at Cancun Palace! We're date twins...lol! In case you don't know I found out that 2/24 is Flag Day in Mexico...so I guess we need to be prepared to see lots of Mexican Flags! I'm not sure what else goes on this day, but many of my future in-laws (who are Mexican) keep telling me oh that is Flag Day, but that is really all they say. So I'm not sure what to expect...lol

Morning Ladies!!!

I have been shoe shopping for the perfect pair of shoes (guess I should find a dress first idea.gif) but I am obsessed with finding a nice pair of Christian Louboutins (red bottom shoes) and it was a must have for my wedding day (shoes might not happen but Im still looking LOL)!!!

So for all my shoe lovers out there (this means you Tori) I was wondering if you checked out 6pm.com.  I work in a department store (Belk) in the Ladies shoe department (one of two jobs) and some of my customers say they shop there a lot.  I took a look and they have great shoes at grear prices (even lower than what my store offers them for).  So I just wanted to put it out there in case some ladies are still looking.  They dont have my CLs....but they do have some nice quality reasonably priced shoes out there!

I am a total shoe FREAK! I can't even count how many pairs I have! It has been my goal to get every single color of heel imaginable! I REALLY want to wear fuschia shoes since I am wearing Vgirl's pink crinoline under my dress and PINK is my signature color! I haven't been able to find a pair that I like yet though...guess I will have to check out that site. Another good site is http://myshoes.com . They have a great selection there too!

If you're an iphone user, check out the iWedding App. I paid $10 for it and it's totally keeping me on track from everything to the dress, rings, etc.

That's the beauty of destination weddings though. Not too much to do until you actually get down there!

We are getting married February 4th 2012 at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana and are VERY excited! After nearly a year long engagement with 3 moves and no wedding planning insight we seemed to FINALLY decide and send invites out in a very short period of time.  It is so exciting to finally be booked and I thank BDW and the facebook group, Majestic Colonial Brides for all the help so far and I am sure more to come!

My first DIY was our boarding pass invites but now that they are done and mailed I don't know what to do next!!!

Hopefully all the February 2012 brides can get together on here and help each other with planning and staying on track!

Only 8 months away!!!

I totally wanted this pair of CL's, but unfortunately, they're kinda old and now aren't available.

So, instead I went with these from nine west in the same colour (for $100!). I'm pretty stoked. They're not CL's, but they'll do.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
