LOL it's okay hun.... I actually got confirmation from my WC.  It took her a total of a month to get everything in order paperwork wise.  We were given the same instruction as you with just the date and the type of ceremony-- religious.  My WC sent me all the information today on where we need to send our Pre-Cana documentation and officially confirmed our ceremony with a wedding confirmation number. I have yet to speak to the priest yet, but will be contacting that information as the date approaches. 

 

I was torn between the two as well. My FI and I sat with our travel agent and asked which she suggested.  She said RIU is great vacation place, but DPB is more intimate for wedding so that helped us with our decision.  Who knows better than destination wedding specialist. 
 

Hope this eases you a little bit! Some times you just need to stay on top of them!

No problem!  I'm glad I can help someone!!! I'm knew to the site so everyone has really been helping me that has been planning longer.  I felt the same way at first.  I started reading all these forums and everyone was telling me that this is their busy wedding season so they will take a little bit to respond to all of their emails.

Hi Ladies!!!

We are getting married on April 4th, 2012!!!  

Thank you for starting a new post!  This is going to help a lot!

We had the same dilemma as many of you that we wanted to get married with a judge, but didn't want a 1:30 ceremony.  Mercy was able to arrange for us to sign our paperwork on April 3rd with the judge and then have the ceremony on April 4th at 4:30.  I would love loved to sign the paperwork on the same date, but it was more important for us to not see eachother earlier in the day.

Another thing that I heard from my travel agent / wedding designer is that they are building a new beach gazebo?  Has anybody heard anything about this?  Apparently there aren't any pictures yet as it is still in the works.  I have asked to get pictures when it is done.  When and if I do, I will definitely post them!

Can't wait to read more about all of you!!

Hi SeattleBrew, I was trying to find pics of the beach gazebo as well. According to the resort map on the website it is down by the beach grill.....

I have requested pics as well, will post them when I get them too! We are hoping for April 19-21....waiting to hear about our request! So Excited!!

Hey girls.  I was just in Punta Cana the first week in May and I took a tour with DPB and met with a WC since this was one of my top pics.  I think I might have a picture of their current beach gazebo ...i think it was small. They didn't mention anything to me about a new one being built.  But I have to be honest I didn't like the woman showing us around. So she could have just forgotten to mention it

Hi. Yes, I had to do the same thing.

Just watch your credit card statement if you are worried, but that is the only way they will process your deposit.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
