Please help!  I never thought it would be this much trouble to choose a dress.  I never had that ahhhhhhhh moment that everyone talks about when looking for a dress, but I liked these two the best.  I need to decide soon, so I'll have plenty of time to order/have alterations done.

I'm 5'6" and curvy (size 10). I would love any and all opinions!  I wanted something simple, but not plain...comfortable is important and both of these were.  I appreciate any help deciding!

Dress #1 is from David's Bridal VW9340

Wow. They are both BEAUTIFULl, but so different. When I first started looking at dresses, I thought I was going to go for something short - thinking I was going to be getting married on the beach and that a full length gown would not be comfortable or practical. BUT when I was trying on the short dresses, they just seemed like very nice party dresses and I did not, in any way, feel like a bride.

So, ask yourself this: Which of the dresses makes me feel more like a bride?? It may help you to sort things out.

Now, that being said, I am partial to lace, so without seeing you in either dress, I'd probably pick #1. It's more wedding-ish and less red carpet. But really, it is up to you and I'm certain you will look radiant in either gown!

I'll check back because I'm curious to hear what others will say/choose grouphug.gif

Here's my $.02 - I would choose the David's Bridal dress as I like it personally and the fabric seems to be more forgiving when it comes to a womans curves.  I tried on a dress similar in material to #2 and it made my thicker waist a lot more noticeable - but im not real sure where you carry your weight as mine is tummy and inner thighs.  The only caveat about David's is their alterations tend to get pretty darn pricey.  Best of luck - it took me three times to make my final decision!

Wow - this one is really tough!  They are both such pretty dresses and just so different I agree with the comment that you need to decide which one makes you feel more like a bride.  If I had to describe each dress in one word I would say #1 is sweet and #2 is sexy.  Which one of those 2 adjectives is how you want to see yourself on your wedding day.  Do you happen to have pictures of yourself in each of the dresses?  That could relaly help us help you because one might be more flattering than the other to our impartial eyes.

Two beautiful but very different dresses. Tough. I think you have to decide what look you're going for and how each one makes you feel. Also, without seeing how they look on you, it's difficult to say which one is better. With the current pictures I do like the first one best. Good luck in deciding! cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
