Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.  Suzane Morel is definitely worth it. If you find she isn't providing your with all of your needs then I would recommend contacting Neysa Berman at Blanc Salon as well. We work with both companies and both do a fantastic job. One thing to understand is that May is the busiest wedding month of the year in Los Cabos so in order to provide clients with their full needs they need to have some guidelines that apply to events, hence the 4 services per day rule. Best of luck planning and know that you are in good hands with both Suzanne and/or Neysa. ~Kym

I've been told Suzzane Morel is the go-to person, but she's so expensive! Plus she requires that I have a minimum of 4 services per day in order to have the artist come to my hotel to get me ready. Is that right?? Considering I'm having 5 services over the course of 3 days it seems a little unreasonable that she won't provide me with a hair and make-up artist to come to my hotel. My question is...is she really worth it?? let me know PLEASE!

I looked online at their prices and this is their online pricing :

Hair and Make-up Package for bride

A full up-do or down-do (medium to long hair) and a full make-up application

$210.00

A full up-do or down-do (extra long hair/pass shoulders over 10") and a full make-up application

$230.00
A hair and make-up trial* $155.00

Note: All those prices are US dollars and subjected to 11% taxes and 18% gratuities. Credit cards payments (Visa or MasterCard) are available. Prices are subjected to change without previous notice.

So for me it would be 210+155 + 29% (tax and gratuity)= $470.85

If I went into the salon then it would be 180+85 as you said, plus 11%tax and 18%gratuity again = 341.85

We are staying at Melia Cabo Real near San Jose Del Cabo so its a 20+ min each way cab ride to the salon that I would have to pay for if I went to the salon.

So that is why I am trying to find someone a little cheaper as my budget is around 240 for hair and makeup. ;)

I had a bad experience with Suzanne and her team.  They aggressively pursue their other businesses on a bride and they are very pushy and want to be paid in full before services are even rendered.  I suggest Meysa Burman- Blanc Salon.  She is a pleasure to work with, a bit better price wise and her contract reads so much better than Suzanne's.

I just returned from my wedding in Cabo and I am sooo happy with Suzanne Morel and her team.  I showed a picture and my hair looked identical to the picture.  They really know there stuff there.  My bridesmaids were all very happy with their hair and some of them went in having no clue what they wanted and let the stylist decide. They created beautiful hair styles that looked great on the girls. We had 2 stylists and Suzanne was there to over see their work and jumped in here and there if she saw something she wanted fixed or changed.

Our make-up was beautiful, we all looked like cover girls!  We felt so glamorous without looking like we had too much  make-up on.

I did have to pay for all services in advance, but I was fine with this, because I didn't want to have to carry all that extra cash around with me in Mexico.  We had our whole wedding paid for before we left for Cabo, so we didn't have to worry about paying people once we were there.

Also, I had no other services pushed on me.  It was an overall wonderful experience for us and I really recommend going to Suzanne Morel & team for your big day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
