Hi all! I've been making jewelry for quite a while, and have quite an arsenal of beads and accessories. I made the jewelry for the bride and bridesmaids at my best friend's wedding this last fall as well. I will also be making the jewelry for my bridesmaids. I had a site on Etsy.com, but it just got to be too much to keep up with my full time job. If anyone needs ideas or help with anything while making their own jewelry, I'd love to help! My favorite website to use for beads, etc. is firemountaingems.com.
DIY Jewelry Questions

THank you! I am buying my girls barefoot jewelry most likely but the matching earrings are just as much and I have other things I want to get my girls other than jewelry for the wedding day so was thinking about making my own chandiler earrings any suggestions?

Chandelier earrings are a pretty easy undertaking once you learn a few basics.... first of all I would search and find out which style exactly you want to go with. The pieces that compose earrings are usually called earring "components" or "findings". You'll definitely need posts or hook earwires, most likely jump rings, components for the chandelier portion, eyepins, headpins, and beads. If you're new to jewelry making it may seem like a lot, but it's really pretty simple. If you have any more specific questions while doing it, or if you'd like to post a picture of what you're thinking about doing and want me to help you figure out what you need and what techniques you'll use, I'd be more than willing! I would start out with googling chandelier earrings, if you haven't already done so, to figure out exactly what style you're thinking of. Let me know what else I can help with.

Kimberli, I would love to see pictures of what you made for your best friend's wedding. That is such a great idea!

Here are the ones I made my friend. They're pretty simple, but she told me what she wanted and I made it... so they're to her specifications. I did necklaces and bracelets for her and her daughter.
Here are some of the ideas we played around with. (Different ideas on right and left sides on some).
The Bridesmaids dresses were orange.
Here are the bridesmaid's necklaces and earrings (the best picture I have):

Here are some other pieces I've done (not made for weddings, but could be used for ideas).
