Renee is very hard to get in touch with. We originally booked with Tina, and she was extremely fast and professional (but I don't think Tina works in Miami anymore). Renee...well, it takes her about 9 days to reply to an email, and even then she may not completely address your question(s) in her reply. It requires great patience to work with Renee.

Here is what Michael emailed me from Caribbean Emotions. I contacted HDC, but no one has gotten back to me in a few days, so I think I am going to go with Michael. He stresses that he will work with us to customize a package that we need, so I will contact him to work one of these packages to fit us for what we are looking for.

Hi, I happened to be searching for destination welcome bag ideas and I ran across this blog. I too will be sharing your wedding weekend, my date is October 11th. I am very anxious as well. I have so many questions and ideas. I can't wait to talk to the wedding coordinator. Its frustrating, my coordinator was reassigned. So I guess I have to be patient and wait until 90 days prior to start bugging the resort.

@Raazzy5711. Thanks for sharing your pictures and all your advice. My vow renewal ceremony is October 11th and I can't get any information from the WC until 90 days prior. Which is VERY frustrating. Since your wedding day was a success, can you tell me the name of your onsite WC? The person I was assigned to is no longer with the company.

 

Was HDC the photographer provided by the hotel? Your pictures are beautiful.

We had our phone conference with Renee from miami last week.  I know someone else posted regarding this and I am wondering what other people are getting told by their contact in miami. 

 

My fiance and I have been in contact with caribbean celebrations for decor and flowers.  Got amazing quotes from them.  I told Renee and she tells us that we have to submit all requests from external sources to her first and she will find out the prices.  I asked her if they get a cut from the cost and she said no.  However, I have a feeling that the prices will go up once Renee sees our quotes.

 

Has anybody else been told this and  if yes, has Miami raised the price after they see your quote from the outide company?
