Grand Palladium Jamaica/Lady Hamilton - 2011 Brides!

Recommended Posts

I'm waiting to hear back from a recent bride on her review in detail.  Overall she said it was great. LOL  I'm currently booked for both hair and makeup as well.  All I know is that they use Revlon makeup.

Hi AMC!  When are you going to be in Jamaica?  I wasn't too sure who you were replying to...  Anyway I think it is an AWESOME idea to renew your vows while there!  I say do it as a surprise!  Have her bring/purchase a white dress.   Just tell her you read somewhere they have a "White Party" every "insert day".  She will love it!  Such a great hubby you are!  Congrats for conquering cancer!  My mom is a 10+ year survivor!

Again all the best.

The bride finally got back to me on the makeup.  She said everything was clean and new for application of the makeup and had staying power.  She was married at 2p on the beach and it still looked fantastic when she got back to her room later that night.  It stayed on even with the sweating. LOL  She also said that she doesn't normally wear makeup and it didn't feel caked on at all.  Good thing!

I am getting my makeup done at the resort, along with hair, and will definitely post pics and write a review when I get back.

Help anyone! Natalie wants a notarized photocopy of our birth certificates for the marriage license.  Is anyone else from a state that does NOT notarize birth certs? We are from Michigan and when I emailed her regarding my dilemma, she only reiterated that she needs a notarized photocopy! At this point I'm planning on sending her what I have (which is a certified copy signed by the state registrar) and hoping that will suffice. Any advice?????

Did you fax or email her the certified copy signed by the state registrar?  That was still rejected?  I'm really interested in finding out what she ends up accepting.  I'm from Michigan as well and will need to be sending the docs to her shortly.  BTW, when is your wedding date?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
