Hi everyone, I'm planning a destination wedding in Bahamas. I'm so glad I found this site!! I don't know where to start.

Ok first thing..I'm thinking of having it at the RIU or Atlantis. I don't want it to be too overpriced for my guests.

Does anyone have info on weddings at either of these hotels. Please tell me your experiences and make recommendations.

Well you definitely have plenty of time to plan!!!  Of course, the first thing is determining a location!!!  If your main concern is the price for your guest, Mexico and DR are by far the cheapest.  Also, be careful when you see All-inclusive.  I believe the AIs in the Bahamas don't include as much as they do in Mexico, DR, and Jamaica.  However, I don't want to deter you away from the Bahamas (LOL I've just never been).  I'm sure you will find the perfect place there!

Congrats!! It is a super exciting time in your life and you are lucky to have lots of time left.  If you already have an idea of location then you just need to pick a resort and start communicating with the wedding planner.  Good luck and happy planning:)

I have not had a wedding at the Atlantis but have stayed there and it is a beautiful and very fun resort but incredibly expensive!  Unless you can find some kind of all inclusive package - the cheapest place to eat was the on site Starbucks.  I paid $12 for a hot dog and $8 for an ice cream bar.  Crazy!!

But so much to do for your guests and just a beautiful resort!
